Managed to get them for $309 with Officeworks price beat

Officeworks are not supposed to price match Amazon Prime because of paid subscription

no idea - I just mentioned they matched/ beat it - called on phone line, approved and picked up. Your experience may be different. May be since it is not member specific price ? I guess anyone can access it on Amazon….

      • They will not factor in Free Delivery with Prime or any special offers or discounts that require Prime. Since delivery would have been free for a non-prime member, it can be used for a price beat.

  • Price per unit is very reasonable. I am considering Eero to step away for Google.
What are your opinions please? I am getting Eero 6+ second hand this week to try it out.
Background: I just upgraded to FTTP, week signal at back room and upstairs.

I had these setup at home for over two weeks via Superloop provider (i.e one downstairs, and one upstairs). It going much better than my Asus XD4s mesh routers which keeps dropping out all the time, and the speed keep throtrtle.

I would recommend Eero just for ease of setup. Needing to use the Google Home app to do anything is annoying.

Plus my experience with it is bad. Have the router next to my room, but only 70% strength and barely 100mbps speedtest. I've got 1000mbps internet.

Went back to my ISP router and got 300mbps speedtest. And that's a normal dual band router.

  • I am having issues adding smart devices to my nest wifi as you cannot select the frequency (2.4 ghz).

Is there a workaround anyone is aware of?

I have tried moving as far away from the device as possible, even putting the device in a pot with a lid to try and weaken the signal to 2.4 ghz as someone had suggested it, but no luck.

    • Same issue I am having as well, which is why I still haven't unplugged the ISP provided one, which has the 2.4 and 5 as two separate network.

My devices couldn't find the WiFi otherwise

Rename your phone’s hotspot exactly the same as your home Wi-Fi name (SSID) and use the same password.
Turn off your router’s Wi-Fi temporarily.
Turn on your hotspot (set it to 2.4 GHz if your phone allows band selection).
Connect the device (e.g., Google Home, smart plug, camera) to this “Wi-Fi.” It will store the credentials.
Turn off the hotspot and turn your router’s Wi-Fi back on.
Since the network name and password are the same, the device will automatically connect to your real Wi-Fi network.
