    I'm gonna say for drawing a static mechanical pencil might feel more consistent as this one rotates, and slightly depresses the tip as you press down on the pencil.

    Tried that one, plastic cracked where the silver part fits in within a few weeks so would get pushed out by the spring.

      They lead rotates as you write. So it is always pointed and sharp.
