Looking at a mid-tier washer and dryer units and choosing between the Bosch Series 8 (made in Germany) and the F&P Series 9.
Anyone had experience with either?
Any feedback or other model/brand suggestions welcome.
Cheers!

Go with the Bosch.
Better quality and can run more efficiently than the Fisher Paykel ( Haier ).
Bosch in Series 8 is German Made for the Washing Machine and Poland for the Heat Pump Dryer, baring in mind their are a few models in the Series 8 range so there is some small differences with specs and features you might care for.
You have the added bonus that if you purchase by the end of the month, you can redeem for 5 Years Warranty.
No experience with those particular models but the F&P I currently have (I think their most basic model) is currently 17 years old. For most of that life it was mums and mum would do an excessive amount of washing, like 4 loads per day every day so it's probably more like 25 years old for most peoples usage. In that time it's had one minor issue fixed under warranty. It is making some weird noises now so I don't expect it to last much longer but it's been pretty impressive given it's price.
Having moved into a house with a shitty dryer (Omega) the 2 features I’m missing are:
- rotations both ways so sheets don’t ball up
- automatic timer that switches off when things are dry.
My previous unit had a F&P that did both and worked brilliantly so that would be my choice.
I have a F&P washer, it does an ok job but i've noticed that it's vibrating a lot more than my Samsung unit. Although, i don't recommend samsung because their drum is made out of aluminium and the joining seam expose. I left a 50c coin inside my pocket, the coin pierce through the seam causing the unit to fail. I've notice LG also uses aluminium for their drum. F&P uses steel so much more durable.
Never had a Bosch (their drum is steel) so can't comment but Bosch got a 5 years warranty promotion right now. Any unit purchase can be register for 5 yrs warranty, save you the hassle of trying to claim ACL.
For the same price go Bosch.
F&P would need to be 20% cheaper to be worth it.
Have F & P washer and dryer. Happy with both. The current F & P washer replaced a F & P washer that lasted 15+ years.
Do Bosch have sales on appliances during Black Friday? Or is there current 5 year warranty as good as we can hope for?
Always get made in Germany.
been super happy with my bosch combo. if you want a bargain, LG frequently have the steepest discounts. samsung probably will find a way to show you ads
