With the way streaming platforms are going these days, with price jacking and removing their own IP from platforms for Hollywood accounting, physical media is starting to take off again.

I dunno man, I have 4 boxes of Blurays, if I ever want to watch something it’s way easier to use Jack Sparrows ship with NBN speeds these days than searching for it in those boxes.

        Good movie though.

Plus you get guaranteed subtitles, Little annoys me more than buying/renting a real DVD/BD/whatever and there being no subs.

      • Yea I buy my favorite movies. If you think about it in 5 years time you wanna watch ur fav movie again , you gotta pay for a streaming service to see it. But if you buy physical media It's basically the same price if I watch a physical copy now once and again in a few years, but I have unlimited watches not bound to streaming services

mmmm… doubt it… for nostalgia maybe. Dying medium that can only be played in a Blu-Ray Player, faster to stream rather than digging out a CD… and most importantly, these disks have shelf life! Heck, $15 buys like a year's Stremio pass!

Every time someone comments this it shows their ignorance

Its not a flex that you use netflix, half the time if theres a Trilogy, 1 of the 3 movies will be on there

Not to mention the highly compressed video and even worse audio

Just tell us you use a kogan tv without telling us you use a kogan tv

For those of us with OLED and awesome home theatre systems blu ray and 4K is king

      Enjoy your bitstarved movies

mmm…. sure there buddy. You're just mad cause you can't afford subscription fees or pay per play. I'm all for supporting the actor and ensuring Hollywood keeps making money to make great movies through my ongoing contribution.

    Important information:

"Playback Region 1 : This will not play on most DVD players sold in Australia and New Zealand. We recommend checking the format and region compatibility before making your purchase. Learn more about DVD region specifications here"

    • +1

      That’s for the DVD only.

The 4K disc will play here, probably the Blu-ray too.

Good point, yes, you aren't buying this for the DVD, and 4k UHD is region free.

        • Yeah and it's not that difficult to get a region free player If you for some reason want to but yeah 4k is completely region free and that's why these Amazon deals are so good

for those of us that use PCs with blu ray drives as media pcs, you can set my drive to the correct region on powerdvd works great. I usually just rip the bluray and then put the raw files on my NAS and then play it that way.

    • rip the bluray = piracy?

if you own it its not, if you torrent then it is.
