How are they at transferring mobile numbers?

    • +1 following, looking to transfer soon.

    • +2

I used them last year and had no issues with porting my number to them.

    • They’re great at transferring numbers in to Felix but 2 out of 3 times I transferred out from Felix it was a pita waiting around for about 24-48 hours for Felix to approve the transfer of number to other provider (1 time being Woolies mobile and other Amaysim) but when i went from Felix to Telstra last month it was all done within about 5 minutes so it might be better now)

    • no issues, it states it needs to be within certain hours on weekdays. But i did it on a Sunday and within 15 mins it was transferred over no issues

    • I’ve done two numbers in the past week.

First one took around an hour, second one (today) took 20 mins to port over.

Pretty good so far - no issues.

But i preferred the random referral instead (gives 4 months at 50% off instead of just 3)

    • Here are the official hours for porting in from Felix:
Switching takes place between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM Monday–Friday and 10:00 AM–6:00 PM on Saturday.
I ported in on a Sunday, the switch was completed in a few hours, which I didn’t expect.
Reception and speed has been pretty good for me in metro Perth, no complaints.

    • I had no issues, it was done very quickly, and the app is extremely user-friendly.

Note their speed cap appears burstable, speed tests will start off at full speed for 5-10 seconds before the 150Mbps cap pulls that down.

Good for faster stream buffering etc

  • I used their service back in September, and they are shit. They use Vodafone, Really gave me a hard time

    • Agreed, especially on the basement. So far Telstra, Boost are the best.

  • PSA: I have been with Felix for 3 months, 50% off. They are terrible. They have poor reception in their covered areas and their data is pathetic. Expect sim dropouts needing to restart phone, 56K dial up speeds and just watching your download bar chug along and then timeout. Never had as many problems with the many other services as I did with this lot. I am exiting them today or tomorrow.

    Only for new mobile numbers?

    • +1

I was with them a few months ago and ported out, I just used the referral link above to get the four months of 50 MB for $15 per month and have
re-signed up, downloaded the app, put details in and apparently my Sim will be on the way shortly.

      • How long was your period of porting out and resigning?

        • +1

6 weeks since I left Felix, I went with Moose Mobile but not impressed with their excess data charges, there’s a time delay between you using up all your data and when they notify you it’s been used up..
So I’ve ordered this current Felix sim offer and will get that Sim next week and re-sign up with them for the 4 months 50gb offer via the referral link above.

          • @Jujji: Ok thanks

            • +1

@ilovefullprice: I mean I’ve already signed up with felix earlier today via the referral link above, and used the same login details (to buy this sim offer today) that I used earlier this year when I signed up with them for the three month offer they previously had, and I’ll change from Moose Mobile back to felix next week when l get my new Sim in the mail. It didn’t seem to matter that I had been a previous customer of Felix, I think so long as you port out you should be able to use this new offer.
At least that’s what the app is telling me currently.

I’ve successfully ported my number from my previous provider with no issues the porting process and network have both been smooth, and I have no complaints.

I have been using their unlimited plan for about a year. No issue at all. Very happy with the value.

Code doesnt work on expired existing service when trying restart plan :/

    • You need to Port out to another provider, then use the link above to re-sign with them

  • Can you cancel/port out after 3 months?

  • Does anyone know when will this deal expire?

    • from their site:
Offers avail. to new + approved felix customers. 50% off plus bonus data for your first 3 months offer ends 26/10/2025. 50% off 3 months offer is avail. until withdrawn

  • Signed up to it, mostly need it for the data only. Everything goes well and steady connection where I'm from.

    One issue though;

I have a physical Optus SIM as my primary, bought this Felix (eSim) just for the data. So all my calls/text are with Optus and then Felix for my data. One weird thing though is when I'm having call (Optus), Felix loses all signal bars and I can't access internet. Anyone has the same issue?

    • Vodafone roams onto optus, so yeah had mix. But the same thing happens with (v/o+t/data sim) it drops data while in a call. so you have to pick data or calls with a dual sim as it can only use one at once. 99% of the time its not a problem your using data or calling.talking but when on a call, no data for you unless your connected to wifi
