      I personally just buy replacement pads on Amazon for $20-$25. They come with a tool to remove the old pads. It is pretty easy to do

      ultimate ozbargianer method is to contact bose support and ask for a replacement pair. I was out of warranty and still managed to get them sent free of charge!

        Just did this very thing after my headphone pads deteriorated, confirm it works if you pressure a little bit, otherwise they try make you pay the $40 for replacements

      I've had both. I hated the Ultras. Sold them and have kept the SC's, which are my still my favourite wireless - I have also have the Sony XM3's (comparable to the SC's), XM4's (like the Ultras worse), Grado GW100x Wireless, Focal Bathys, Audeze Maxwell, Soundcore Q2oi, Soundcore Q45, and others, these Bose to me are as good as it gets for a wireless set. Strong, satisfying bass with clear highs and decent mids, they are just hard to fault, a real all-rounder.

          design is worse compared to QC. QC are plastic but feel solid and well put together. ultras feel uncomfortable and cumbersome, despite premium materials. also it's easy to pinch a finger putting them on or taking them off due to edges that are too defined and low tolerance. they just don't feel right in hand.

          sound wise they also are weird. for instance when you turn on the ANC there's annoying hissing, while it's not there with the QC, just pleasant soft background noise there.

          also the earcups are too shallow on ultras compared to QC which sit very comfortably on the ear and the head.

          not really a fault of ultras but they have just one option for high resolution codec that S25 Ultra doesn't support. so that also defeated the purpose of getting ultras instead of QC.

          I returned ultras without regret and would choose QC any day.

      No, there are better ones available like Sony XM6, Bose Ultra and Ultra 2.
      But in this price it is a good deal/value.

    I had QC25 but after some time, noise noise-cancelling function deteriorating and didn't work when turn the switch on. I prefer Bose over Sony XM4

      I had one, I think I paid something like 5 bucks from aliexpress, it came with a Bose Logo and everything, looks real and does the job.
      My SC died and JB replaced mine with a QC that came with a hardcase so I don't need it anymore.

    does anyone else get connection cutouts when using Instagram? it happens to me in on s24 ultra. need to flick the physical toggle to reconnect the Bluetooth and it works again.

    making it only connected to one device seems to stop it happening, but I'm not sure.

    and sometimes when i pause Instagram,, my Spotify starts playing even though it wasn't playing before.

    matter of fact - I'm wearing them now !

    I bought 2 pairs of SC in May 2024 for $164 each at JBHiFi half-price sale

    and I have been happily using Bose QC15, 35, 35ii, 45, now SC for nearly 12 years now

    I would recommend them as the most comfortable, good sound, good noise-cancelling headphones for wearing for many hours and long-haul flights.

    as for ear pads wearing out 'every 2 years' - I buy them on eBay for like $4-8 delivered - AFAIK they all fit the same from QC15-35-35ii-45-SC, so I just buy the cheapest - and haven't found any significant difference between the original $40 Bose ones and the eBay ?$4 ones

    I got the SC last year around xmas when JB had a special. last month, took it to Japan and somehow USB charging burned out the port…
    JB replaced it with an QC… the one that came with a hardcase.

    I don't know if I'm dreaming or not, but the QC I felt is much better made.

    Anyways, for the hardcase, you can get a hardcase from aliexpress for like $5 AUD, I have one when I got the SC, it does the job, even has the Bose logo lol
    However the case that came with the QC is better.
