Jetstar are launching a new seasonal route between Hobart and Newcastle Port Stephens, 3 flights a week - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - Why? no idea, but it appears the NSW State government are trying to get more flights to Newcastle Port Stephens Airport. But give the train from Newcastle to Sydney is cheaper than the train from Central Station to Sydney Airport, this might be a cheap option to get to Sydney or Hobart

Sale is for flights from 02 December 2025 to 28 March 2026, unless sold out

  Lol, train to the interchange for 3 hour, bus wait 45 min and 40 min bus trip will get you there to the airport, then another hour wait at the terminal. You mus have a lot of free time to save up $15 station access fee.

  Just a heads up that the nearest train station is some distance from Newcastle airport. You would need to get the train to Hamilton station and then take a bus to the airport, which takes about 30 minutes from Hamilton.

  Not exactly a short trip from Newcastle train station to the airport though
