normal price $75. says grey colour, first image seems to show the blue one.

not a massive discount, but saw a few of these tiktok products like JosephJoseph posted seemed pretty popular here.

fancy looking scale. is it good design? does it work better than other scales? I don't know.

um actually the screen is facing forwards, so it doesn't get blocked when using a big bowl on top, but also harder to see if not using a big bowl and normally on the kitchen counter? upwards facing screen is more convenient?

    Readout Accuracy +/- 1%

That is hella poor for kitchen granularity (pun intended). 5kg or 5000g would mean +/- 50g which spells the difference between the ocean and unadulterated witbix

    • you are probably right. but who is weighing 5kg of weetbix and 5kg of milk. πŸ˜‚

or maybe you are a body builder marshmallow. πŸ˜‹

assume they were hoping people would just see the JosephJoseph (getting sick of typing this twice already) brand, and "smart design" and miss the accuracy spec.

    • Yep that's the main issue we've found with it. Now we use it to measure the dog bowl and gardening stuff.

Seems novel, but can't you get something cheaper and more accurate (0.1g reading rather than 1g) from Aliexpress?

Edit: Honestly it just looks like an ugly dog food bowl πŸ˜…

    • Seems novel,

      not really.
the way I see it built in bowl is on there so you can quickly flip it and measure some "nutz".

but uh probably about just as fast to grab a bowl out the pantry. also even more so since that "built in bowl" seems to be a perfect fit and you probably going to be scraping at the edge with your nails for a few seconds trying to get it off. πŸ˜‚

    Just get a bowl.

I don't think you know what a bowl is. actually i'm 100% certain what you think of when you think of a bowl, is wrong.
      please go read a book.
this message will self destruct in five seconds. good luck ethan hunt.

The 2 in 1 feature where you need to wash the scale and now you can’t use the scale because it’s wet?

        Use a bowl.

  • yeah I don't get their products either guys.

people were going crazy over their kitchen utensils (ice cream spoon I think) and their laundry baskets. so I thought they were willing to go for this.

    • To be fair, the brand did start out making pretty novel products that worked well but were somewhat pricey. Their product range has expanded very quickly in the last few years and just as quickly you find a lot of their products now while seemingly novel in design, don't actually work well in practice.

      • yeah i'm convinced their marketing caught on to how it became a tiktok hype product. and they started going in that direction maybe. like imagine a 10 second clip that shows this scale, then a hand flipping the bowl, putting stuff in it, flipping it back without even rinsing it. that's probably enough to sell a lot of people on it.

  • What's the point of this product?
