it was one of the best GPS navigation apps on iOS. I've been using it since 2009.

  • Hmmm would i want it on iOS or Android….

  • iOS ones are also on sale. But no worldwide map :(

  • Is there a world wide map available? All i see is this..Europe & America & Southeast Asia & Africa which doesn't include australia/nz

    • Youre right no AU/NZ included in the world map

    • ooops you are right.. doesn't include aus/nz. Didn't look carefully cause I already own aus/nz in the past

  • Good deal for the world map but i will stick to my Navigon and Tom Tom for now

  • Where on the website does it stipulate 25% off & that $32.99 US is the marked down price for Aust/NZ map?

  • "Son, I want to give you the world, but first I need to borrow $85, then I can give it to you!"

  • how does this compare to google maps? any sygic users can comment?

Sygic is simply brilliant on my Android phone with 5.2" screen. it has 2D and 3D view, lane guidance, etc

    • The maps are "off line" stored on your device. Google maps down loads data on the go. This could be important when overseas and data is expensive. I use Sygic, Navigon and Tom Tom on iOS and they are all as good as each other just all slightly different. The worldwide map seems a good cheap option for travel.

  • Are you sure the $85 is for all maps? India and some other countries aren't included in the description but are available separately.

    • sorry.. corrected description

      • WHERE????????

        • showed up as a notification this morning

While it's below the normal price of $39.99US, it's actually gone UP from where it was last week. Last week it was $24.99 US, its now $29.99. Looking at the price history, it hasn't been it's full $39.99 price since last October, and has been cheaper than $29.99 on multiple occasions.

It's still a good deal and it's a good App. I used it on Android when I used one…on iOS I've gone with Tom Tom. Have contemplated getting Sygic as a backup, but I think between TomTom, Google Maps and possibly Apple Maps I'm fairly well covered.

  • Ha Licensing maps in 20.13, when Gmaps 'n Nav have All bases covered. Priceless.

    • But with the "free" maps you need to factor in data costs, especially if using overseas. Plus you need to be in a data area which is not always possible in some areas on some carriers.

    • Yep where Data access may not follow (overseas) it would be the go, plus does appear to seem to render the functionality of my TomTom SW Nav that I used @local, while now as backup.

It does follow you get the sat-image layering uniqueness served but from the giant via HSPAnet's & not 'g'ps (unless I pre-cache a particular zone) but then one needs the network for live info which is common to both & essential for apps I suppose.

Unless one errs in selecting vodafone - 3g access is ubiquitous @$3/gb x nextG iPad, $2/gb OptusWooworths *67%-50% off specials.

  • I've used a few apps and Sygic is the best. It has advanced lane guidance showing you which lane to be in, tells you the speed limit and bings if you're over, beeps at road works, railway crossings and other road changes. Finding and storing your addresses is easy as well.

    • We use Sygic on all our mobile navigation gear… phones, tablets, etc.. Find it to be better than others we have tried and best of all… no internet connection is required.

      • just need GPS. do these work better with wifi turned on though?

  • Price drop again to 20.99 € which is AUD27 until 12/3/12.
