Frustrated with Big W online

Frustrated today with the Big W website. Today I was browsing the online store (catalogue pg 26) and saw some kids sheet sets in the "just kidding" line that were on sale for $3.93, a saving of $18.93. A really good buy! It said to check availability in store as it couldn't be purchased online. When I checked at my local store there were a number of these sheet sets in stock, but the price was $13.00, still a good price but obviously not the same as a bargain of $3.93. When I explained that I had seen this online and it was on sale for $3.93, they told me that the online store is different from individual stores and wouldn't match the price. It didn't say that this was an online special only. Do you think Big W should have to match their own online prices??

    Big W like most companies have online only discounts because they don't have to pay for extra staff in their stores and rent. Reduced running costs = lower prices

    I agree with you Mar s. And I disagree with Zelda. I found the sheets online and yes it indicates it will be the same price in store. They should fix it if that's the case.

    They should have matched the online price. Most stores match their competitor stores price by checking online.

    I have had nothing but bad experience with big W online…I think they should keep to bricks and mortar for now until they get their online store fixed, I tried to use a voucher 2 weeks ago, did not work…I then had to call up their customer service team( imagine O/S call centre) and took an hour trying to process my order…disgrace..what's the point of online sales if you can't provide this service? And yes they should have price matched.

    I sent Big W a message on their FB page to let them know of my frustration with their site. They decided to send me a gift voucher. I told them that their page should have a disclaimer stating that online prices my not match store prices as it is deceiving and false advertising. I doubt they are going to change anything but at least I got some compensation for my trouble. It was worth having a whinge.

    had the same problem a few weeks back. The site said out of stock, but had plenty in stock at Doncaster. Didn't even say it was online only. Went in and the staff told me it's online only special. Why advertise something online, but out of stock and then you can't buy it in store? very misleading!
