    I know this stuff sounds like snake oil and most of it's kind is. But we use the FTC decarboniser in our buses (school coaches doing morning and afternoon pickups/dropoffs as well as excursions) and they seem to genuinely run better after we started using it. I know that sounds like "you get what you expect" (can't remember the word for it, maybe placebo) but they chug less at idle and pull away smoother.
    It's pricey but you use so little of it per tank compared to anything else that we use it all the time now.
    I really wish I'd done before and after oil samples to see if there was a difference but I didn't expect it to work so well.
