  • note GABA is used mostly for the sleep not for the hgh.

    • +2

GABA does not cross the BBB (Blood Brain Barrier)so it is useless in increasing the level of HGH.
phenylGABA is the one that can cross the BBB. The addition of a phenyl ring allows it to cross the blood brain barrier. But beware, you can get addicted on phenylGABA and get withdrawal symptoms

    • Yeah like ZMA - thanks Tera and EC, updated the description :)

      • Gamma-Aminobutryic Acid supports the natural production of Human Growth Hormone

GABA does not support it whatsoever
There's been numerous studies that showed extrinsic GABA does not reach the receptors necessary to influence HGH production

$9.99 shipping fee kills all vitacost deals. Not worth recommendation at all!

  • Dude check out my deal here
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/92805

iHerb ftw atm!! waaaaaaay cheaper shipping

    • Yeah that's old news…http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/90038

      Also iHerb has:
      - Animal Rage at $42 for 1
      - Xpand at $32 for 1

And the monster amino at a comparable price but out of stock. What makes these deals (although believe me I'm in disgust also about the shipping prices) is the BOGO 1/2 :)

At least there are some actual deals in this post.

    • Old news (one month) but clearly not everyone is aware of hence this guy still recommending vitacost.

I mean just cause you guys know about it doesn't mean everyone else should or dose kinda selfish to kick such a stink up over it since it's only info there to help people who don't know to save money and clearly many people don't know as my post got a few reps in the short time it was up.

      • Thanks for posting about iherb, about to do an order - shipping is way cheaper

        • Thanks for that mate i try share this info and so many people kick up a stink ozbargin people who frequently comment can be real board mother lickers…

        • Don't get upset because you made an error and posted something that wasn't an actual deal in the deals section.

This site gets a lot of traffic, and a lot of people wanting to post stuff. If it were to become a free for all, the bargains would get lost in the spam and the "I just thought people would like to know" stuff.

For the record, yes it looks like iHerbs shipping is very reasonable. Thanks for bringing it to the fore. But along side that, the prices aren't that door busting either. If they were, I imagine you would have easily been able to add some actual products to your post, instead of a generic "iHerb is awesome, here is my referral code"

        • Not even mad it's all the people on here crying "this isn't a deal" or what ever else that are real mad.

90% of the "deals" i see on here i don't like so i ignore them and keep scrolling not every deal has to apply to me only a few will. But i don't go comment "this is shit cause i already knew about it" or "this isn't a deal i don't want this".

I see plenty of deals with no reps and mine got reps and thanks like above mean in the few hours it was up some people thought it was a deal and it helped them and that's what it was there for.

        • Also iherb is as cheap as vitacost so prices are the cheapest on the web especially now with shipping.

Please if i'm wrong show me a better place that is cheaper than iherb but i bet you can't.

        • -1

I've got a better idea… You post an iHerb bargain, and then I'll show you where you can get it cheaper.

        • -1

In all seriousness though, are there any good buys at iHerb at the moment?

  • +3

Vitacost's upped the shipping fee. Their products aren't very cheap anymore.

Last time I looked at Vitacost the shipping was $2.99. It's now $9.99 - what happened? LOL - probably hundreds of orders from Australia with $10 deducted.

  • damn shipping went from 2.99 to 6.99 to 9.99 now ?

useless not ordering with them anymore

  • Vitacost is not in my good books. I ordered 4 items (to save on postage) and 1 was on back order. Without contacting me to see if I wanted an alternative product me they cancelled the back ordered item (whilst it was still showing available on their web site) and shipped the remainder of the item.

Vitacost can not be trusted. Now to order the other item it will more expensive than if it was delivered as part of my original order.

  • Who would be a good supplier other that Vitacost?
