Now what I need is a Pixel 9 Pro..

      Same, 9p 256 under 1k 👍

In my view this is a terrible case for actual phone protection. My wife dropped her phone only once with this case and the screen shattered. Bad luck obviously plays into it, but there is no real protection offered by this case beyond a bit of plastic. I would suggest something a bit more robust.

I have this case and its genuinely a shit case for actually protecting your phone

  • +3

Not every case is designed to maximise protection. If that's your goal, then go with a Spigen Tough Armor, OtterBox Defender, UAG Monarch, or Pelican Shield.

If you're cool with the protection tradeoffs then this should be fine, but not as good as the Peak Design, Bellroy Leather, Mous Limitless, DBrand Skin.

But it's still a good price for a branded case. If you don't care about brands, Amazon and AliExpress have more options for you.

From what i have read this case is just all round not good. Feel, quality control and protection isn't great.

this case is fine for everyday use. helps with grip, has raised edge on front and rear to protect the glass/camera if the phone is face up or face down. easy to clean and hasnt peeled or discoloured after 6months use. agree its not going to be drop proof so look elsewhere if thats your goal

    • Agreed, mine has held up well. Just bought another to replace it and will keep the current as a spare.

    Very Slippery

    • +1

Yes. Been using this for 12 months. Constantly battling how slippery the silicon feels is

      • +2

I like how it look , nice in touch , but slippery as hell

      • Why would you battle it being slippery for a whole 12 months? That's so strange, get a grippier case or at least take it off.

        • Part stubbornness, part not bad enough to make the effort to order something else. Just trying to save someone else the annoyance.

    • +2

Yes. Got one with my initial purchase last year and it lasted all of 2 days before I was sick of it slipping from my hand. Matte hard plastic, no rubbery/grippy parts, very hard to actually use - but it looks good on the phone.

    • How much slippery compared to Apple iPhone silicone cases?
How would you describe the in feel texture of Apple silicone vs Google silicone ?
I have the Apple silicone case used daily for one year now, it’s gotten more rubbery and grip has improved compared to when I first got it.
That said, Apple silicone cases aren’t worth $69- $79 they asking for rrp. It has numerous peeling effect & durability issues.

Looks like it's as garbage as my 7a case was. Google didn't learn. And yet here they are trying to make AI learn. I don't think Google are qualified to do that.

    • -1

      Google didn't learn

As opposed to whom? Apple and Samsung aren't known for their first party cases either.

      • -2

Your question is not relevant. Apple or Samsung being shit don't justify Google being shit

        • -1

It's perfectly acceptable for phone manufacturers to not have the best cases. The best cases are from brands that specialize in them. Just like the best chargers are from brands the specialize in them. Google has nothing to learn, they already collaborated with these brands to create cases of a variety of materials that perfectly align with Pixel. You're welcome to advocate for Google having better first party cases, but critiquing them for "not learning" as if this is something they need to do well when there are many more important areas of the phones they need to catch up with Apple and Samsung is not productive. Watch this video and you'll see how much Google's design team does learn, even for their midrange A series line which you're a consumer of.

          • @Nillionaire: Rofl.

They are a massive company. They should be able to design a phone case properly for crying out loud. I don't see why you'd make excuses for them.

    • Yeah I think Google is a software company. Their hardware is usually not so good.

  • +1

I paid almost full price for the case originally. It's made of a weird rubber material that I find always has it sliding off stuff

    Looks good tho

man for a. second i thought it is pixel 9 for $9

  • +2

Better get this one for $8.99 including a glass screen protector. MagSafe one and excellent protection as well including camera bump:

    JeLLYPIE for Google Pixel 9 Pro… https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DB8TT6B5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_s…

  • I purchased a SPIGEN Rugged Armor case for my Pixel 9 pro.

I drop my phone all the time and it seems to provide pretty good protection without being too bulky.

  • Thank you the honmoon is saved
