    I'm in the same boat and have been wondering if it might be time to upgrade my series 7 rather than buy a new head.

    I still think it's a good shaver, but refilling the cleaning fluid annoys me a bit and I wonder if there are any alternatives that have a better cleaning system.

    The cleaning system on this one looks interesting. I'm curious as to how well it works.

      I stopped using the cleaning system 10 years ago on my series 7 and havent had a problem. I just rinse with tap water.

  caution, i have mine for almost a year and sometimes it just won't turn on. to fix it, i plug it in and it turns on.
  really annoying because i travel and bring it fully charged. get to my hotel and doesn't want to turn on. im thinking maybe the button was pressed during the flight and was on the whole time and killed the battery. i get home to charge it, full 3 dots. battery wasn't dead, it was fully charged.
  so a bit annoying i now have to always travel with the charging cord just in case it doesn't want to work for no reason. quickly plug it in, and works again.
  this happens every 2-4 weeks i would say, for no reason at all.
  other then that, works great. lol

    Yeah mine has done the same thing from day one. It's usually fine if used every day or two, but happens whenever I stop using it for a couple of weeks

    Also have good results otherwise. Does work best on short growth, anything longer than 2 days it will struggle needing multiple passes

    Interesting, because I have this problem with my series 6 as well. Press power button, doesn't turn on. Plug in charger, shows 1-2 dots. Remove charger, press power button, turns on with 1-2 dots. Seems like there's a bug in the logic controller.

    Mechanically exactly the same, but the 6 has a "swivel head" supposedly to help with sensitivity, (and a travel case)

  i bought 1 recently but the inside oscillator has plastic parts and was unstable causing painful hair pulling. Luckily i could return it.

  I have the series 3 with charge and clean station. Must've had it for at least 10 years and it's still going strong. Excellent shaver
