I do love these, but id like to see one that does a proper jaffle that seals the edges so i can put some sloppier fillings in.
The pie maker probably better for that.
I dont know we can put and cook aluminium inside microwave….
It's possible to make metal microwave safe by being thicker, not having sharp edges, etc. Some microwaves even have metal grates in them permanently.
not the best for grilled cheese. the bread didn't get toasted with the grill marks, and the cheese overcooked and leaking everywhere. haven't tried it with anything else, but mainly wanted it to make grilled cheese and it failed at the one thing i wanted it to do.
Use oil or butter on the outside of the bread and you will get much better results.
yup did that, not much better results. Cheese is still obliterated and everywhere.
Mine works perfectly for this. Maybe use spray oil, bigger slices of bread, or maybe microwave needs more power?

I bought it last week, but haven't used it yet. So, if I make a sammich and bung it in the microwave for 4 mins, does that 'cook' the fillings too?

as one of the people who don't have it, but have read the webpage at kmart, I think the line saying there in effect "do not use for more than 3 minutes at a time" might be significant if you plan to use it bunged in there for 4
When i read the the instructions it said 2 mins, then flip for the other side = 4 mins. And I dunno about you but I regularly click into deals when I already have the product, maybe to get more, maybe to say how great/shit it is.
