For kids, which one is more fun to play? Detective Pikachu or Princess Peach?

you can easily get NSO for a dollar a month here with family groups. It will be a free upgrade to Switch 2 versions of BotW and TotK.

If they suck at games, Peach. It's easy.
Stay away from thousand year door, they'll be bored.
If not into pokemon, stay away from that.
Not Bayonetta, due to content type and that's the only hard game.
Pikmin is great but depends on your kid it's possibly hard to get it right depending their skill level
Luigis mansion the controls suck through bad design but its fine for kids
2D games going to be fine
Animal crossing they may like, I hate pointless farmy games and can't be a good thing to get them used to with how many similar games follow an IAP business model on mobile phones
Smash bros depends, lots of whacking fighting game
Odyssey fine depends on their skill level
New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and Super Mario Bros Wonder
Just tried to price match at JB, really, I'm not sure why I bother wasting my time doing that as they always come up with ways to not honour it (first they say it's not in stock at JB, then I show them it is, then they come up with another excuse), Harvey Norman it is then.
