EzySim "Ultimate 12" 100GB 12-Month Prepaid Plan Physical SIM $109 Delivered (Normally $175) @ EzySim

270

Essentially the same deal posted by fozzie last month: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/922658

Their web site still leaves a lot to be desired, but hey, if the Vodafone network works for you and 100GB is enough for a year, then this seems to be a reasonable price these days.

EDIT: If you have an existing EzySim service that's about to expire, "Ultimate 12" recharges are currently $119, if you'd rather pay the extra instead of porting out and back in again.

Update Oct 13: e-Sim now $99, physical SIM still $109

Also Lyca doing $110 with international calls and 5g with 200gb.

Use lyca at your peril. I would personally prefer to be flayed alive.

Ahha, fair enough. I recently used a one month Lyca and seemed ok. I’m imagining porting over your number is a different story.

        • 1) Don't port numbers, use a disposable number.
          2) Use a virtual card (e.g. Wise) that you can later freeze/cancel.

      • Lyca is good only in CBD not preferred outside as it uses crappy Vodafone network as this

        • +2

Do we have to guess which CBD?

    • What is pros/cons for 5g over 4g.

I am assuming faster speeds but 4g speed is good enough for me.

5g used to drain battery faster, is that still the case now with new phones.

Any other issues to consider for S25 ? Feels bad running 4G on S25 but unless I see good enough reasons to go 5G…

  • Howz Ezysm.compared to Lyca..eill use for kids mobile

    • They both use the TPG / Vodafone network, so coverage is the same. (Whether or not you get 5G depends on the plan inclusions though.)

But as others have said, porting into and/or out of Lyca is something that's best avoided.

I'm not going to lie, I thought this said EzySlim and was curious WTF a subscription diet was.

Can you receive SMS outside Aus without paying for roaming

  • +4

This is showing as 99 now

    • +2

      It's showing $99.
But once I clicked "Buy now", it became $109.

      99 for eSim

  • Is it easy to switch from a physical SIM card to an eSIM? I asked the customer service, and they said I would need to buy an additional eSIM if I want to change. So, does that mean it’s better to buy an eSIM from the start?

  • anyone know if this is 4G or 5G?

  • I am currently using an EZySim monthly plan. Can I port the number to the same carrier?

    • +2

You can only port between different providers. If you want to move to this deal you would need to port out to a different provider first, then port back in. A $2 Telstra (and I believe Boost also) SIM is good for this purpose (there's a long thread on the subject), or whatever discounted starters packs are available at the time (from Coles, Woolworths, 7-11, etc).

Or you could take the easy way out and recharge on this plan for $119 at the moment. I assume though that the recharge would take effect immediately and you'd lose the unused portion of your current monthly plan.

  • Cant add the esim to cart for some reasons.. only the physical sim can be added..

    • I just checked and it works now! Try again

how long is the deal running for?

    • +1

      Until 30/10/25, as per https://ezysim.com.au/offers-terms/
I did set the expiry date when I posted this deal. I don't know why it disappeared, but I've just edited it to put it back in.

      • Thanks, yeah sounds s like I will have to port out and back in because I just bought two of them

  • Expiry date looks to have been extended from 30/10/25 to 15/11/25.

I'm not sure if this is a hack for those who want a physical sim but one of the chat agents advised that you can order the esim for $99 and then order a replacement physical sim for $1.99. Once the physical sim arrives, you can contact one of the chat agents to swap your esim over to the physical sim. That's a saving of $8.01 assuming the total cost is $100.99 with this method.
