TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is ineligible on full or partial payment utilising any pay-by-points methods to transact on Myer's website including (but not limited to) Myer Rewards credits, CommBank Awards Points, Velocity Points, AMEX Rewards Points, loyalty programs such as Myer Xmas Club, Myer Black, Myer One, Myer Return, Myer Multi, Myer credit card points, all points + pay methods, and orders utilising Myer staff discounts.
  • Cashback is ineligible on products from CHANEL, Dior, Hermes, Aesop.
  • A new click/tap from TopCashback's 'Get cashback' button must be generated with each new order from Myer. Failure to do so will cause all cashback on subsequent orders to be declined by Myer.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of any gift cards.

What else is essential

  • *Entertainment category includes electronics, audio & speakers, computers & laptops (including games and accessories), heating & cooling, luggage & travel, household & kitchen appliances, phones & accessories, movies & music, personal & health care appliances, sports & fitness equipment, photography, portable audio, TV & video, connected home, home surveillance, eReaders, smart watches.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • You must accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the 'get cashback' button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • To be eligible for cashback, all transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted/negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Good to know

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If any part of an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

Did you bump into her at the perfume section trying to get the Chanel exclusion lifted?

      He prefers Miss Dior.

Just to be sure. Each new order means transaction, not item? So I can click "Get Cashback" and buy 5 items in one order and qualify? I only need to click "Get Cashback" again if I decide to buy another item later? Thanks.

Yes, that's correct. No limit on the amount of items in an order. However beware if Myer cancel one item in the order, it can result in cashback being declined.

@snufl As Repstar mentioned, if possible, it's better to do separate orders/transactions in case of out of stock. That's when you click the 'Get Cashback' button through to Myer website for each new order/transaction.

Thanks Repstar and trixieb. I hadn't thought about cancellation of an item so I'll make sure I put anything marked "limited stock" in a separate order. Really appreciate your advice.

    • +1 to their advice

But within the last year, I had a Myer order partially refunded for OOS items, and the cashback was never declined. (this was CR, RIP)
But YMMV depending on the CB provider so I still recommend Trixieb/Repstar's advice :)

      • Thanks and that's great.

Unfortunately there are several complaints about Myer rejecting cashback when they cancel items in a combined order in several ShopBack/Myer posts. Not sure about TopCashback. My understanding is that Myer would have rejected the cashback rather than ShopBack or the cashback provider.

Doing separate orders/transactions (if possible) is also the general recommendation for cashback shopping with any retailer in case of cancellations, out of stock, refunds or non-tracking. It's usually in the T&Cs as a precaution:

If any part of an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

        • Agree with everything you said 100%, as I said :)

Also Woolworths on TCB has the same terms for the exclusions listed - their refunds/adjustments for OOS orders has never declined the CB. Same thing for SB via Woolies/Coles. Like my MYER order, the order value is just adjusted down and recalculated, then approved.

& I just checked - it was actually November 2023 (time flies) - so not within the last year… Myer could have changed the way they process CB with OOS refunds.
