I don't really know if this is a deal. They aren't a big name brand and they aren't known for being particularly special. It could just be stamped generic blades you can buy cheaper from china.

  • Is there any difference like I’ve been using Indian Wilkinson Sword blades…I don’t mind spending more for the best but not sure if any differences are noticeable

  • what do people use these Razor Blades for nowadays ?

since there are other tools for shaving instead of buying these types of razor blades

Lot's of people got sick of paying for expensive Gillette crap and went back to double-edge razors, myself included. My current razor of choice is the Rockwell 6C.

      • +1

Yeah much cheaper and less damaging to the environment too. I also find them less irritating to my skin. It's a win all round.

      • I found that goes great with feather blades

    • Removing stuff from glass and removing old gaskets

      They perfected shaving.
Then to make money they tricked you into thinking you need seven blades and fourteen moisturising strips

You mean i don't?!!!! Shocked, I tell you, just gobsmacked

    • Scoring my bread before baking and shaving using traditional double edge razor. Way nicer to shave with and less irritating.

  • These or Astra? Ive found Astra to be not too sharp, which feather is.

    • I have the dorco prime and they are good. They are about the same price as them

    • +2

Feather are too sharp for me. Wilkinson Sword is just right…
I think it is the finishing grind angle not the sharpness….

  • that price for 50x - I can feel the razor burn already

  • I recommend these Parker Shavers as an alternative to more expensive shavers.
I own three including a slant razor:

Another who's gone back to double edge. Found this a few months ago, might help some:

Never heard of this brand at all. You can pick up the tried and tested Astra's for around the same price, so I wouldn't bother.

  • +1 to this likely being Indian/Chinese crap. They do this with hairdressing scissors, where a lump of 'Japanese steel' gets exported to the chinese factory, as the domestic 'VG10' is basically a fraudulent standard that is VG10 in name only, and it gets sold as 'Japanese scissors'. Usually the quality of this japanese steel is just basic 56-58 hardness, whereas proper VG10 Japan-made scissors are 60-62 hardness, and that's aside from whatever corner-cutting/cha bu duo they're doing in their production techniques.

But I wouldn't go with feather blades. I think it's probably just as it is with knives. The Japanese make the sharpest knives, but they're brittle. The Germans use softer steel, but it's sharp enough and much more durable. You would think that with razors being used only a few times, the Japanese would have the edge here, but I found BIC chrome platinum to be better than feather. My guess is that the structural integrity is more important than the hardness of the steel, and a microscopic clean slice through a hair is no different to the human eye than one that got roughly snapped off or hacked apart through force.

  • I bought a pack of these a few months ago, they are horrendous. So blunt, they gave a terrible, uncomfortable shave, I threw the whole lot out.
