Tbh i havent seen a bunnings shopback promo before
Do they ever give 10% cashback for Bunnings or do other retailers do 10% off Bunnings gift cards?
No. If you look at the history of Bunnings gift card deals you'll see that the vast majority are worse than this (e.g. 3%).
There has been 10% off mitre 10 gift cards in the past
Those days got 6.25% from $10 bonus on $150 Preezze GCs which was the norm back then.
Special gift cards has one that works at Bunnings and often has approx 10% off
Is there a way to check balance on this yet?

Unbelievable
"Yes, a traditional Bunnings gift card is typically a one-time use card that must be given to the cashier to pay for a purchase. The card is relinquished to the cashier at the time of use and is not reloaded. Any remaining balance is given back as a new, reducing balance gift card, so the original card is not re-used"depending on the amount (not sure what it is) they'll give you the balance back in cash
Bunnings changed their gift card policy earlier this year to stop this. You will no longer receive any cash as change when redeeming any Bunnings gift cards (even "traditional" gift cards that say on the back that you will receive up to $9.95 change).
Yeah they give the change in cash up to $9.95 or else they will issue a new gift card with the remaining balance
One of the weirdest thing is that they still give you credit/cash on refunds.
I bought something recently with gift card, that turns out not to work out. The next week I came in to refund, expecting to be given a gift card. However they ended up crediting my credit card instead. I did pay the remaining with a credit card.
Hi @WookieMonster, I am replying to you as you are the oracle of all gift cards and conditions.
You mentioned they changed their policy and won't give change but you did not advise what they now do so i thought I would advise you in case the change I just experienced in store is different to the one you are referring to.Now remaining balance just remains on the gift card used until all used up.
Specifics on the back of the card now say " This gift card has no expiry and can be used in whole or in part. Change will not be given for any remaining Gift Card balance. The remaining balance will remain on the card until the balance has been used. For balance enquiries, visit any Bunnings location or call 1800 797 586".
Much easier this way and now functions like other gift cards so I think kit is a positive 'change'. :-)
UPDATE: I saw the T & C's on Shopback say cards can be used once and change will be given in the form of a gift card so I rang Bunnings Gift cards section to clarify why that was different than the conditions on the physical card I have and found out that they are between system changes so the one time use does apply to these cards bought through Shopback (or any other 3rd Party) BUT once you use it in store, you will be given a physical gift card where the balance remains on it until used in full as I stated above.
Confusing but they are the current usage conditions.
for years the limit was always $9.95
They would take the $50 card and give back 2 x $20 and 1x $5 cards and $2 cash
on your purchase of $3
It was my favourite way to get snagsHowever this year i received a couple bunnings branded more traditional gift balance cards,
the $100 card that i spent $3 and the same card was $97 and used next time
Less than $10 they will give you cssh change. If $10 and above, youll get another gift card.
Last time they gave me another gift card even though change was less than $10.
They must go through a ton of non-reusable gift cards.Gave me 93 cents gift card
Any ideas if Flybuys dollar purchases simply get refunded as points back into Flybuys?
Yeah, Bunnings suck. There's no excuse for this
I remember the Bunnings gift cards bought in Shop back cannot be used for online payment. Only in-store purchase is allowed.
Redemption Instructions from the link: Valid in-store only, cannot be used online. So that's true.
Well from my experience, you’ll have to use the gift card in-store once, and they will give you a physical gift card if you got credit left, which you can use at online purchase afterwards.
Can this be used in conjunction with powerpass/flybuys?
Yes
Wow, I hope this is AI
Never seen this kinda crazy deal.
Anyone know if these are through Prezzee?
Anyone know if can use these on the powerpass app?
yes and also if not using you credit account
Unless you already have something in mind to buy at Bunnings 5% cashback is just not worth it. Those who have onepass already gotten 2.5% back from points, which you can't get if you pay using GC.
Where does it say that? I cant find anything to say points are not elligible if you pay with gift card.
I did not find it as well, I was using chatgpt for the info. Happy to be corrected.
I redeemed a "traditional" Bunnings gift card in-store at Bunnings a couple of weeks ago and earned 5x points via OnePass on that transaction.
It usually does not matter if you pay with a gift card, the confusion happens usually meaning you can't buy any gift card and receive points. I would like to know for sure though, as it could be a different criteria for onepass, and the shopback gift card.
@drspy00: Maybe not exactly the same, but last month I got SB SuperSwap, redeemed for Bunnings via Prezzeee. $101 purchase - used the $100 card, put the remaining $1 on credit card. Scanned Flybuys and next day the extra OnePass 404 points were credited.
Best I've seen previously is 4% max
Bunnings never used to allow gift cards to be used online. Shop back states in store only but the other gift card sites don't mention this so I wonder if they just didn't update it or if it's a term just with Bunnings and shopback?
Bunnings recently “upgraded” to the year 2000 allowing online gift cards but I think they’re now running two styles, I’m assuming these ones are the old school in store version whereas some you can now get that have a pin and can use online.
Buy a $500 one, spend $1 in store and hopefully they convert to the new style that can be used online with the $499 :D
A digital platform sells a digital gc that cannot be used online, while a physical store sells a physical gc that can. How's that?
Thanks for posting OP. :-)
So it definitely can't be used online?
100% can’t. I just bought one and it has two barcodes. Scan first scan second. The online ones have a pin number.
Thanks
New to the cashback scheme. Do they ever give 10% cashback for Bunnings or do other retailers do 10% off Bunnings gift cards? Thanks
