My comment is higher than the fashionably late Dr. Phil. I can't believe he missed this spot.
Id be asking for a reasonable job above everything else
Don’t must places do a wheel alignment after they put new tyres on??
looking for a quality wheel alignment
Only if you pay for it
Its usually extra but i get it done by the seller of the tyres less mucking around.
Not Costco
Where are you based? Just check google reviews of tyre shops near you and go with one that has good reviews. They will all charge around $70-100. Good luck.
Where are you based?
Perth
clearly….north or south?
not west?
.
How to tell if fake reviews or all good reviews been bought?
Are you sure you need a wheel alignment?
^^ This
How are you so sure you need one and typically one is done when the 'new' tyres are installed.
and typically one is done when the 'new' tyres are installed.
I don't usually do one when changing tyres unless the tyre wear on the old tyres suggested I might need one.
Only if you pay for it.
I used to be a wheel aligner in a past life.
The question should be. How are you sure you don't need one?
Most cars get out of alignment, even slightly with normal use. The supplied specs usually have tolerances that make it acceptable although not optimal.
The best way to extend the tyre life is to rotate them, even better if you have a full size spare and also rotate it, keep the correct pressure and do wheel alignments as a preventative measure at least every 10 thousand kilometres or when you notice uneven wear, vehicle pulling to one side or steering out of centre.
You can always ask for the pre and post alignment printout.
Is 36 good psi?
Just curious do you guys wheel alignment every 20 to 30 k?
Also can wheel alignment be reversed when hitting a pot hole?
Thought it wqs 10k from memory thrn ai said 20 to 30k lol
Last time I did wheel alignment with MyCar and the week after I need to have wheel rotation with Costco, both says I don't need to do wheel alignment anymore.
2x places … That reputation == just basics.
Certainly wouldn't hold them in high regard.
ESP - my car … Being a franchise.
Have had some bad experiences with them - both in Perth + Melb.
Tyres are expensive, alignments are cheap. That's the line they use to con you. $100 for 15 minutes of an unqualified tyre fitter turning wrenches trying to figure out which way to adjust the toe. Go to a suspension shop if you want someone who actually knows what camber is.
an ASX doesnt have 3 degs of camber
The tyre fitter isn't usually the one doing the assignments.
Back when I used to do them you were sent to take to get qualifications to be an aligner.
Also with the alignment machine there's no guess.
I had mine done very recently at mycar Westfield Carousel and costed me $89. Hope this helps.
and
costedcost me $89.
FTFY
Hope this helps.
nknk - you've been accosted by jv
Verb: to address (someone) boldly
Was a two wheel or four wheel alignment.
Most charge $89 for two wheel and four wheel alignment typically ranges from $120 to $170
bro its a 2018 Mitsubishi ASX
any tyre shop will do a good one
Lol. They'd have to go out of their way to faaaaark that up. Likely front and rear toe adjustment only.
YEAH you could prob do a alright job eyeballing it tbh
I replaced all the front suspension and steering components on my weekender. It was undrivable to even get to the shop for alignment. Used the old string and ruler trick and it was bang on. Too easy.
Bob Jane Tyre…
$75 for all 4 wheels at Kelmscott Tyrepower plus they seems to have a decent reviews in Google
What's your definition of reasonable?
Which car model? Some are simple (front toe adjust only) some are more complex (camber etc)
