Previous cheapest $479.99 from Costco, was $499 last Black Friday from David Jones/Amazon.

Usual story. It is listed as box damaged, but likely this is done as a workaround for Dyson to discount goods without upsetting retailers. In the past users don't report any box damage, eg 12/9, 28/7, 31/7ebay etc.

Available in 'Red Velvet/Gold' or 'Bright Nickel/Rich copper'. Usually $749.

eBay Plus is only $4.99 for 1 month, if you don't have it already or can't get a free trial.

Re box damaged, got my partner an Air Wrap last week from the eBay store that was listed as box damaged, and other than 1cm slightly dented in and wrinkled on one corner, (and i've had new products more damaged than that), it was new and sealed in perfect condition.

Could it be that they have employed those box damaging, ex Sony Storemen to their warehouses?

  • this or ghd?

GHD's arent what they once were. I bought my girlfriend (now wife) a GHD as an anniversary present about 20 years ago and she only replaced it with one of these last year. Raves about it. Has hair that goes most of the way down her back and she can dry and straighten it in about 20 minutes (vs sometimes 40-45 with a traditional hairdryer and her GHD).

      • Agreed - GHD was the king about 15-20 years ago but I wouldnt touch one now. I had a newer GHD and sold it to buy a very old GHD which I still have.

I think the original owner of GHD left and started Cloud 9.

I would recommend Cloud 9, MUK, or Dyson straightener.

  • Bought it as a gift, really hope the "box damage" is minimal

My "New" Dyson headphones, were in a worse state than the "Box Damaged" Air Wrap I got last week and both were in a state I would be happy to receive as a gift.

Knowing how expensive these are I think the recipient won't care about a damaged box.
Amazing gift so well done to you. 😍

Was looking this up out of curiosity, and this is quite different from other hair straighteners on the market. Most hair straighteners use hot plates to 'iron' your hair, and are meant to be used on dry hair only; but this uses high pressure hot air, so you can straighten as you dry without needing a separate hair dryer. So the use case can be a bit different, even though you could just use it on dry hair as you would a normal hair straightener. As for the result - good but not as flat/stick straight as the Dyson Coralle - see detailed review. On the plus side there should be less heat damage.

  • Good price, thanks OP.

The power adaptor is quite big (around 15cm high) so check that it fits
