First post. Came across this on amazon when I was watching dashcam submissions on youtube. Seems to do pretty well in low-light.

  • Is the rear cam view wide enough? Can’t see details of this on Amazon website

  • If i buy this from amazon, how will the installation be done? I am interested but dont want to mess with car trims to hide the cabling.

    • Usually its an easy DIY job. I installed another camera myself, the trim has always enough flex to hide the wire. If you want to install the parking monitor system, you can ask your local mechanic or do it yourself too.

    • ODB hardwire kit

  • Does anyone have one of these and have an opinion on it?

  • Is this battery or capacitor? I couldn't find the details.

  • Last thing you want is a blurry image when a car speeds past you after hitting you, fps is usually poor, buy viofo and capture those licence plates!

    • Which one would you recommend for front and back? does 4K actually make a difference or could you get away with 2K?

I can't decide between the Viofo A229 Ultra and Pro or even the Plus.

      • +1

Viofo A229 Plus is my pick
Don't need 4k, 2k is all you need.
Frames per second is good too

ive just wired this dual cam in a new car and am v happy with it

4k resolution versions seems to overheat generally on viofos, so a229 plus is the oz bargain choice

        • Thanks, I did think that 4K is a bit of an overkill

I also was concerned about the overheating problem especially in the Australian summer

          • +1

@hhuy837: Also important is the capacitor instead of the battery
