  • It's bonkers to see a well-built aluminium keyboard with wireless at this price (and aliexpress ones even cheaper).

    • +2

any links to the aliexpress ones?

    • +1

Agreed. We've come a loooooong way, especially now they mostly come full modded, so theres little tinkering left to do. When I checked aliexpress these were cheaper, there's a lot of v3 out there it seems

    • when I gave up on the hobby (got a bunch of my preorders cancelled by international vendor, no way to get money back because I didn't use a CC, I stopped buying keyboards after that).
      * breaths out *
Monsgeek was just coming out with their first keyboards, and people were on the fence about if they could compete with Keychron's. good to see now they are still coming out with newer models. 😀

  • +2

I would but i have way too many 75s now

  • +6

I wish I could find a comparable full size keybaord

    • +1

have a look at Keychron. not as cheap for aluminum I think, but they had so many more tiers last time I checked when someone mentioned the brand.
prices were also reasonable for full size, last time I checked the popular ones such as Q1 costed more.

Been using a Monsgeek M3W for the past year and it's great. Well built and amazing value!

    • +1

This the M3 is the full size design. I have the M3 and the HE version of this. Great boards for the price.

  • I paid over 200 for this about 3 months ago…

    • That hurts! Hows the board going otherwise? Happy with it? Any connectivity issues?

      • +1

Works perfectly! Upgraded from a k2v2.
Battery is insane. Very happy with it.

        • Good to hear! Looking forward to building out mine

          • @linx8: Definitely worth doing! I couldn't find good keycaps for a reasonable price, so I bought the prebuilt and put in akko fairies. The tactility of silents aren't my favourite but much nicer for work not to be clacking away.

            I went with this one:
            https://www.centrecom.com.au/akko-monsgeek-m1-v5-via-multi-m…

But my issue with it, is that the number row keys are light grey, and there's not enough contrast to see what symbol I want to hit.

            • @muckingfuppet: ah damn, have you checked aliexpress for keycaps? some pretty solid doubleshot pbt out there for reasonable, under 50

              • @linx8: There’s just nothing I’m quite sold on. Too many bright colours or terrible fonts.

And I’m using it on a mac, so if I did, I’d want an f-row.

Open to reconsidering if you have any tasteful suggestions!

    • Same haha

  • Discount ended for the contour and old version, thanks copped 1!

  • Will still lean toward the Rainy 75 over this for a few bucks more.

    • Yeah I would too but knob! So satisfying

  • I recently bought a Nuphy Kick75 and it's been one of the best keyboards I have ever owned. I have GMMK Pro and Q1 Pro but don't use them anymore.

    • I'm guessing you also had a brief time in the keyboard hobby.

I also joined during covid, needed to spend some money to cure anxiety. like you I always liked all kinds of keyboards including low profile and chiclet switch style similar to apple magic. ended up being scammed by international vendor, stopped buying after that. it hurt too much could not go on and risk it again. (hobby was also winding down towards end of covid, less group buys, less keycap sets).

  • This as nice as the keychron? Tried that in store and it felt shit loads better than my el cheapo one and the NES themed one

    • Subjective, it's the same class as q1 pro and lemokey p1 pro, so up to you.

      • True but the Kick75 was great out of the box, the Q1 Pro needed some mods.

  • I don't suppose anybody here has tried the KBDFans Agar

  • Ugh. I have too many keyboards. But just bought another M1 V5.

Literally bought the Contour lines one a few weeks ago for $149.
Anyway, I hate that for some reason that model doesn't have VIA.

    • good thing when I was in the hobby I didn't have enough money. otherwise I probably would have too many keyboards too.

I have a few, but all cheap. $200 Acrylic Alice from australian vendor, two Vortex keyboards. those are the mechanical. also have three chiclet switch type keyboards because I like them. unfortunately the "best" most expensive keyboard I ordered never arrived. got scammed by bankrupt vendor outside australia.

  • Really need a new keyboard, sick of my Logitech G913 TKL double typo issues, looks like I missed out on this deal :/
