$2 Cheaper than prime days sale few days ago (There was no coupon back then). I wanted this case since launch but never saw this case drop sub $30.
ATL according to camel.

Multiple color ways also available at few cents ~$2 more. Grey is the cheapest.

I can vouch the quality for this case. It is substantially better than the official one and any other 3rd party cases I have used.

I think it falls very short of the switch 1 case.

That stupid internal soft bumper bar is annoying and makes the case bigger. I don't know why it's even there.

It seems thicker than it needs to be, it feels like it conforms to the shape of the switch worse.

And the colours are fugly. Don't buy grey, the dirt eventually starts to show (happened on my grey v1 case, but my coloured v1 case you couldn't tell)

    • Shame that they downgraded from the switch 2.
I thought I would get the same experience as the switch oled case!
I bought the black one at few cents more.

There are no great slim cases right now but this is the best or equal best of the middling products.

It's not terrible by any means it's just disappointing when compared to the incredible v1 case.

It'll do while I wait to see if I end up with Hori joypads again as they'll probably require a butterfox branded case due to being bigger. That's what happened with my v1 switch

        • I have both the Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions of this. It's bulkier in the Switch 2 version because the Switch 2 is just bigger, as far as I can tell.

@Budju: That bar at the top of the screen makes it bigger than needed. Edit: now they've got new pics and they show the bar is to protect the shoulder buttons. Ok, that's fine. It's floppiness is a pest, maybe I'll glue mine down

Also if you close the lid whilst peering in you'll see the tolerances between the case shape and joysticks aren't quite there.. whereas on the v1 the fit was impeccable.

I think they got provided with prototype switch 2 dimensions and they either gave it some slack just in case, or the switch 2 changed slightly.

It's a decentish case, but buying a slim case you want them to put their best effort in.

No excuses for their awful colour range though :)

            • @justtoreply: Hmm you could be right, maybe they'll do a rev 2 and it will be a bit smaller. I had the grey colour for the switch 1 as seen in the image which is good. I got the orange black and grey for switch 2 it is not as good.

I don't know anything about the switch 1 case, but I really love this case for my switch 2. It's small, light, and the console fits perfectly

I got this which I think is nice and slightly cheaper, longer to deliver obviously https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009086934993.html

    • looks amazing for the price

    • This looks as slim as possible.

Does it put any pressure on the shoulder buttons?

Does it feel flexible when you hold the far ends and twist it a bit? (This is the most common issue with cheap switch 2 cases.. they aren't very rigid thus offer less protection)

Jeez at least take me to dinner before the interrogation…

Jokes aside yeah it is very slim. I don't think it specifically puts pressure on the shoulders but there is the tiniest bit of space for it to jiggle in the case, barely moves at all. It's very rigid overall and has a nice velour inside to protect the switch and the little divider thing in the middle is padded to ensure the switch cartridges mounted on the other side couldn't scratch the switch2. Looked after my switch great on my US trip!

        • Looks like you win the prize!

  • I own the Switch 1 version which is great. I thought I’d try an AliExpress rip off for my Switch 2. Happy with it for just under $12.

      that looks great for $12
Hagibis is certainly a reputable brand as well. I really like their ssd enclosure

just cancelled my Amazon order and will be ordering this! Thanks

Have this for switch 1, been protecting this for overseas trip and been to lots of places, fit and compact. Recommended

  • Funny how some stuff is cheaper after the Prime day sale…

  • I have this and it's ok, don't love it though. Feels like too much pressure on the screen as it's so tight. Prefer my RLSOCO brand case, just as slim but doesn't feel like it's going to crush it

  • JB Hi-Fi have a very similar looking case to this one, for only $29. There are no reviews though, so not sure how it compares
