The kit must be returned if cancelled, all other features are the same. $79/month for first year in rural areas then $99 for residential lite, which is usually the same speed as residential.
Referee & referrer: Bonus credit for a month of standard service, 30 days after the referee activates and keeps their Starlink.
Referrals will only issue credits to Standard Plan (Residential) and Mobile Regional (Roam) subscriptions. Kits purchased from a retailer or reseller are not eligible for the referral program. No credit will be given even if a referral link was used during activation.
Well at a minimum you will pay $80 for the roaming service and then bear the cost of return postage of the hardware. The 30 day trial is also not a free trial, and can only be used once. The trial is the option to return the hardware for a refund on change of mind.
Day to day rental services that already exist are cheaper than the $80 but typically have a minimum rental period like 3 days.

Plus, the Installation doesn't include Mounting Hardware, I believe that is additional.
Nbn’s location strictness is usually due to pit location and/or existing feed into the house.
Since starlink only needs power i don’t see why they wouldn’t be more flexible in where they can do the install. Barring the obvious obstructions or unusual build material
Not so much on the roof location, but in the house/building. I sense the contractors doing the installs will be getting paid minimum for it, so they will want to be in and out super quick. Plus, those using Starlink are often in remote locations and some contractors will need to travel and they might not be willing to for the small job/income.
Similar to how NBN Wired Installs are done. Quick and the easiest way possible.
Is there any information about the professional install? Will they install the antenna on the roof?
I believe it's professional setup, not install. As in they just plug it in a configure the software.

I love Elon.
Any reasonable person should, or at a minimum, admire his accomplishments… Instead they spam misinformation about how and how "he didn't even start Tesla"… It's like yeah, ok, "Tesla" as a company existed before his involvement, but it was nothing more than an idea at that point, no drivable prototypes and certainly no products in market.
And that's just one of his companies that have driven human progress forward.
I think perhaps when people recognize an individuals acomplishments, these are also balanced against everything else that person does, and what else they are associated with.

Shows as $139pm for me (also, I’m apparently in the demand surcharge area which results in an extra $1314 one time fee on sign up). My Fixed Wireless nbn is $61pm so will stick with that for now. At $79pm and 0 installation and no surcharge I may have considered this.

Was just thinking this, surely the demand surcharge will eventually drop away or drastically reduce. I'm not that desperate considering I'm 5kms from a capital city CBD.
Not necessarily as they have limited spectrum and they have limitations on how small the beam spot is. In an urban area you are competing against corporate customers that want Starlink as a disaster fall back option.
5G home internet may be an option if you live near a tower
