Lights Valley Surveyor General Shiraz 2021.

Have not drunk any of their wines so I will give it a miss

Highly recommend this deal. Can confirm it's this wine. https://www.cwwines.com/collections/ulithorne-paternus/produ… as mine has already been delivered.

    • Not what I came up with. The Light Valley is a perfect review match and is $80.00 per bottle RRP. Your linked Parternus is $85.00 RRP and does not appear to have a review match.

      How positive are you?

I bought the linked Paternus and it is very good buying at $16.66 let alone $12.75 per bottle. Happy to be proven wrong and buy more.

Always wary of (seemingly) imaginary rrp on wine that isn't sold through any mainstream retail channels. It might be good but it screams creative marketing.

    • The buying sites thrive on creative marketing RRP which is not to say the wine is bad. I have never had a bad Curtis

      • Nope certainly doesn't mean it's bad just that it's perhaps not the bargain it appears to be

        • Absolutely agree.
There are some absolutely brilliant wines at the $80 mark.
These bargain wines arent in the same league. Good wines for the price, yes. Worth their "RRP", no.

Please tell me the op isn't… "John ,..from the wine group" who got fined $200k for cold / spam calling…and then continued to do so…calling me a few weeks later (I'm on the do not call register)..who I then immediately reported to ACMA and then played back to him the next time he called (and he immediately hung up)..

    If so..Hi John!

"normally sold out at $80 a bottle" 🤣🤣🤣.

Has anyone ever paid RRP for wine ever? These 'deals' scream carpet/rug closing down sale tactics.

    • Penfolds, probably.
CW Wines is huge now. Aren't going bankrupt anytime soon.

    • I pay for wine at RRP pretty often.

When it comes to small wineries, I tend to buy direct and buy at their full price.

Or when it comes to wines like BP, Wendouree etc, wine at retail from the winery is 1/3 what shops sell it for. Wish that I was on the Sami Odi list though!
