Some mixed reviews on this one - also worth checking the Goodreads reviews

    • +1

      wow lot of savage readers

  • I'll summarize the message of the book:

    Don't think.

Seriously. That's it. Because apparently thinking causes suffering.

    • Instinct is a powerful message.

      "Don't think, (just) do (it)."

Legendary Hawthorn Football Club coach John Kennedy Sr. first said those famous words in 1975.

And Nike reiterated it in 1988 with the bracketed additions (even though Nike used murderer Gary Gilmore's "Let's Do It" in 1977, the John Kennedy story is better- and 2 years earlier than Gary's quip).

    • apparently thinking causes suffering

Desire is the root of suffering

      • Where does desire come from - thinking🤔
        Just a thought😉

(Ozbargain Deals are a long list of Desires!
        Some comments display faulty thinking😜
Not a place for a true Buddhist!)

    • No - it's Don't think… incorrectly
      NOT Don't think!

Incorrect thinking causes suffering - for you & others.

Thinking correctly + questioning your thoughts can reverse faulty thinking habits developed over a lifetime.

It's like basic CBT - proven clinically successful to decrease anxiety & depression in many.
Challenging & changing thought habits, leading to more successful & healthy outcomes😊

    • That's nice, saved me a bit of reading then.

To keep it going, if you're thinking about buying/reading "The Let Them Theory", don't, because all it says is, "Only do what is within your control".

And also apparently the author plagiarised.

Thinking too much gives you wrinkles

  • Don't believe everything you think you are reading.

    • I don't believe what I read of what you wrote

  • I wish my job didn’t require thinking

  • +1

I think this is a good deal.

    • +1

      Failure!

  • It’s not about the thoughts; it’s about the beliefs and emotions driving you to make them.
