I thought the idea of releasing a 'get rich quick book' was to make money selling it. Might need to read it to work out the angle.

  • If it works, I'll still use OzBargain

    • And more often!

    Book description (as per amazon).

Building a comfortable and secure retirement is by no means only for the youthful and brilliant. Many have achieved millionaire status later in life after starting late, making gut-wrenching investing mistakes, enduring losses—then learning a strategy that makes a difference and STILL retire early! These financial newbies regroup in their 50s with a non-competitive, holistic, long-term and low-cost investment strategy that rejects Wall Street’s shenanigans and contrasting values.

This book shows how two teachers on educators’ salaries retired early with financial freedom. They discovered and rejected the unbelievable high costs of inappropriate retirement products and unethical advice.

The solution is straightforward. Their story addresses the challenging concepts of investing so you will discover and use the basics. As you learn proper asset allocation from the authors' journey and from a consumer’s point of view, you can confidently set up your plan and locate competent and ethical financial assistance to help you stay your course. Late Bloomer Millionaires is vignette and observation, reflection and investigation.

  • If it was easy to make a million dollars. A million dollars wouldn't be worth much.

    • It actually isn't worth that much… Most pensioners have this much after you include wealth in the form of their house.

Now that's no excuse to rip off pensioners, because this amount is expected to last well into the next 10-20 years, or even longer since they are living so long!

This is my experience from seeing the financial position of many pensioners as an accountant.

    • Opinions are like armpits: everyone has a couple and they usually stink. Have you even read the book?

Not a good enough reason to neg.

  • Whats with all the abbreviating in the title? bk (book) and Strtrs (Starters) only saves you 4 characters…

    Though good find anyway.

Thanks for the post. Basically it is the journey of a couple taking steps towards getting a retirement fund. It is American based and focused with some terminology that may or may not apply to us Aussies.

Good to get an honest insight into how people think about their finances…and how to cope after a big share market downturn.

Nice find OP, never any harm in learning more about financial planning.

  • the deal expired so fast…

    i couldnt get it
