Is there any such thing as comfortable chairs or sofas that can be stored in a small space that is appropriate for older heavy people that have to work hard to get up from conventional low sofas and chairs.

If the person has a hard time getting out of a conventional chair, inflatable furniture would be the last thing I would suggest

Yep… in this case you want something as easy as possible, which means furniture that just sits in one place and doesn't move.
What helped my elderly father to get out of chairs was not having such a low chair, making sure the cushion wasn't too soft, and most importantly, have arm rests
There are arm chairs that tilt forward to allow people to get in/out of them easier. I'm guessing given the inflatable/foldable you're looking for temporary things for visiting people. Honestly would just consider reasonable quality fold flat camping chairs, they are rated to 150kg or so and some can recline etc for between $100-$200

Looks like I need to check out camp chairs. We have a powered wheelchair in our house so extra furniture has to be moved and packed away when not in use. Thanks for the suggestions.
Hopefully better quality than the inflatable dartboard I had a few years ago.
