For those interested in the TV performance, here is the Rtings review (its called the QM6K in the US): https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/qm6k

Thats a really good price for this tv. We have one and would highly recommended it.

    Budget model. 420 dimming zones.
    2 yr old c845 had almost 900
TCL C6K review: a cheap mini-LED TV that’s great value, but you’ll have to make some compromises | TechRadar https://share.google/LmzJ9UprE16ePuj5d

Don't be fooled…this tv's black levels are significantly better, much less haloing, the tech is improved these days.

fair comment, but that's the 75 inch and this deal is 85inch, so not apples to apples

    • +1

That was a 75inch. This one is 85 inches

      • As kegsta mentioned, 85" was also available. Some in the comments (including myself) managed to get it for just over 2k. So, it may come back to a similar price for black friday?

    • got a C8k with that deal, donot think it can get better

  • Any thoughts on how this is when compared with the Samsung Frame TV 75"?

    • That is in store only isn’t it?

      • yes

This is a much better TV than the Samsung Frame.

    • about 10" bigger

Just had my c8k 85" delivered by the good guys for $2195 delivered including soundbar ($2895 but just now received the $700 digital visa gift card on my google wallet, hence $2195). Installed yesterday and the black levels are nothing short of amazing.
Keep in mind that all these large size tv's suffer from poor materialitis - if you feed it anything less than 1080p material then you really notice it. However, the tv is really snappy, turns on in 1 second from standby, and is very bright. 4k material looks amazing. The sound is meh, even with all their talk of bang and olufson speakers, rear subwoofers, etc. Thankfully it sends all sound through the optical output really well. No regrets so far. Just be mindful that it has a VESA pattern of 600 x 500, which is unusual. I had to purchase another wall mount.

    • Hey mate which wall mount did you go with? Not sure if I trust the ones from Amazon…

      • I actually just used a Sanus one from Bunnings ($49). The tv only weighs 40kg without the stand, and this one says it can handle 60+kg. Crossing my fingers it's fine.

      • Got c845 85 inch on a 10 yr old amazon bracket no issues. Its the installation that is key..

    • Is the offer of c8k+sound bar still available?

  • The biggest issues with this model is viewing angles.
