Has anyone used Solarmaxx in Melbourne before?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone here has dealt with a company called Solarmaxx in Melbourne? I got a quote from them for a system that includes:

14 x 440W TW Solar N-Type Dual Glass Bifacial Panels

1 x 5kW FOXESS Hybrid Three Phase Inverter (Wi-Fi monitoring)

3 x 4.66kWh FOXESS Batteries (13.98kWh total)

Inbuilt blackout protection + smart meter

10-year product and performance warranty

Total cost $5,199 after rebates and discounts

They’re asking for a $100 deposit by bank transfer

Has anyone used them before or heard anything about their reliability? Also, does the price for this setup look reasonable?

Appreciate any feedback or experiences.

If its lies at the start of the relationship, it wont get better as it goes along.

  • Terrible deal, you realise that inverter can only output like 1.66kw per phase? So if you turn on your kettle you are exceeding the power limit and will start drawing from the grid?

I have Foxess 9.9kw inverter so whilst you can only draw 1.66kw from one phase I can draw 10kw before having to use the grid to supplement.
You really need to go MINIMUM 10kw inverter, I would recommend going 15kw 3 phase inverter and you'll want the 42kwh battery since the rebate basically pays for it all.

You should be able to get all that under 10k I think, if you want I can put you in touch with my Solar Miner sales rep directly I used as he said he would offer friends and family the same deal I got if I refer them directly.

  • Solarmaxx, sales person with a made up name. I wouldn’t touch that deal with a barge pole.

    • Are you saying that the absolute gentleman, Mr Alex Wood, does not exist?
