Anyone buying an iPad mini is doing it for the form factor. M3 is obviously better, but the portability is much better for the mini.

yes they were $499 but then apple got greedy & said it is for professionals like doctors etc & raised the prices to $650.

I had the mini 5, and the form factor was great - small and light and didn't take too much space.
Touch id on the front was good.
I currently have 11" Air M3, it's very light, but takes up more space.
Touch id on the power button takes getting used to.
Also, it's quite heavy if I pair it with the apple magic keyboard.

Have this model, its fantastic. (And I dont have much else in the Apple ecosystem)
For me the size is perfect as I like smaller phones (have Android) but the iPad mini is the perfect size for reading/streaming etc without needing to wrangle a laptop.
Yes its only 60Hz screen but for what it is used for this is fine.
