10" Tablet with OTG for USB Video

Hi

i am on the lookout for a android 10" tablet mainly for web browsing, ebooks, magazine pdf, skype and watching video whilst traveling.

But main requirement is OTG port for a portable hard disk full of videos, that is if a 1TB portable hard disk can be plugged in to it?

Looking to spend under $200 if possible?

Cheers

  • I have the ALDI (Bauhn) dual core tablet they had on special last year. I thought it to be good value because of its comprehensive connection options.

I do things you mention and sometimes use it as a media player between the NAS device and TV screen (HDMI). It does very well and I am very happy with it. On the downside, no JB update.

My partner has an ASUS TF300T. Not nearly as many connection options, although it's a much smarter performer and has upgraded to JB. It's twice the price and more. I should add that in six months it has died twice and had to be sent back for repair/ replacement.

To compensate, ASUS support has proven first class and prompt. BAUHN support is, well, minimalist at best.

  • +1

A USB HDD wont work with USBOTG unless it's incredibly power efficient.
And I think your 10" for $200 pricepoint is far too tight. You'll struggle to find ANY 10" tablet at that pricepoint, let alone anything that someone might recommend.

    • far too tight…but this is ozbargain?

yeah your right been looking and seems less than $250 is better budget.

  • ainol hero
