Using Spotify Turkey for a While but Received This Today

I have been using Spotify Turkey for a while with no issues, saw a notice about a price increase but that was fine however I received this notice asking for valid ID showing my address in Turkey.

I haven't seen this before and couldn't find much info about others having this issue, does anyone know if there is a way around this or should I accept defeat?

Just upload a fake id photoshopped with your matching details.

They have no authority for id.

Yes, do this OP. Or should I say, Ahmet Yılmaz.

    • Thanks, submitted, wish me luck!

    • They can ask for ID if they want
You have no obligation to provide it, and they have no oblicgation to provide the service in return.
Fake ID wont work as they are verified by an automated system (similar to how our banks verify online ID here)

  • I'm also a Turkish Spotify customer, and haven't (yet) been asked for id. In what world are Spotify living where they think it is okay it ask for personal id documents? I'm not applying for a loan or rental house, I'm using a streaming service FFS. If they do ask for it, it's definitely going to be doctored,

"You lost access to Spotify Premium
We're contacting you to let you know that your Premium membership has been canceled because the country where you purchased your membership doesn't match the country where you're listening or watching content. Therefore, you're now transferred to our free service.

To regain access to Premium, you can re-subscribe by adding a payment method that works in your current country and updating your country settings. Your country must be one of the countries where we offer Premium. The price you pay in your country may be different from the price you pay now.

If you don't choose a new plan, you can continue using Spotify Free.
