"UGREEN Airplane Bluetooth 5.4 Adapter for 2 Airpods or Headphones, Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter Compatible with All AirPods Like Airpods 4/Pro2/Max"

It's currently 31% off and there's a 5% offer on the product page that can stack.

$24.22 is about the average price when looking at Bluetooth 2-in-1 dongles. That said, it seems pretty hit or miss in terms of compatibility and quality issues when looking at all the different options.

I bought this dongle the other day because I want to share Netflix on my iPad and Apple isn't playing nice with non-Apple headphones. And the Bose app no longer supports dual sharing to QC45 + SC.

The dongle has a built-in 300mA LiPo battery and needs to be charged via USB-C. This became pretty obvious when I saw a massive Lithium battery warning on the side of the Amazon box.

The package includes:
Bluetooth 2-in-1 Adapter
Carry pouch
USB-A to USB-C charging cable (C-C works)
Airplane adapter.

First impression: It's ok, but there are a few things to consider:
1) There's a slight static noise.
2) The audio is slightly delayed and out of sync when watching a video (500ms?)
3) The built-in battery needs to be charged using USB-C (19 hour runtime).
4) The audio level is a bit low. I do wonder how this dongle will perform on a flight. I can increase the volume with my Bose QC45 headphones so it's not an issue. But some headsets (Jabra) are too quiet.

Some positives:
1) The buttons and pairing process is simple to use.
2) AirPods 4 paired easily once I disabled automatic pairing on my Mac.
3) Other brands of headphones (Bose, Jabra) paired easily too.
4) USB-C to USB-C charging works.
5) There's a 4 LED battery status indicator.

ugreen went overboard with packaging and the user manual. The quick start card is great. I do wonder if they could save money by reducing the packaging and fancy printing.

Overall, the audio delay is a deal-breaker for how I want to use the dongle. I can't stand watching videos where the audio is off by almost half a second. If you're watching an over compressed video on a flight then the sync issue might be less noticeable.

I am enjoying listening to DAB+ via this dongle and Bose QC45 (JB deal here the other year).

    • It solves the problem of trying to hook up some AirPods 4 ANC and Bose QC45 to an iPad.

Good product sale and review. Thank you.

  • Codecs: SBC, and possibly AAC (specs list SBC only, one image says SBC/AAC in a footnote…).

That would be a hard pass for me - but if you have Airpods, and want to chance that it has AAC support like the image says, then perhaps.

(FWIW, the physical spec sheet someone posted in review images is consistent with the specs in the listing: says SBC only.)

FWIW I have the 1Mii ML300. Uses aptx. No discernable latency. Added feature - it's also a receiver meaning you can Bluetooth steam to a non Bluetooth device with a 3.5mm jack.

Thanks OP, just what I needed for upcoming holiday with the missus. We can now watch movies / listen to music from the same device with Bose and AirPods. Just received the item and works great, easy set up.
