Wuben is back with the new H4 that I really shouldn't add to my growing collection. This one is a bit different to others in that the included 1700mAh lithium battery can be swapped out for 3 AAA batteries.

This one has a max output of 800lm in turbo mode with the main spotlight/flashlight featuring dual SST-12-WS Gen 2 LEDs with a colour temperature of 4000K (flood) and 6500K (spot). The Side light has 2 neutral white LEDs and the special light has RED LED emitters. It can be toggled on/off with the buttons or motion sensor.

Available in Black, Khaki and White.

You've given me the idea to mount a few of them on a headband.

Do you know, if you buy this https://amzn.asia/d/1zHRmeS
you can get the mentioned one free ??

      • How do we go about that?

  • Give them credit that they actually mentioned running times on the various options. Not just 1000's lm and 100's hrs like most.
But 3hrs on high meh.(Having said the replacement battery and motion control is neat)
Still trying to find a head torch with same features that will run for 8 hrs on high (4-500 lm).

    • You might get 2-3 hours at 400-500 lumens with an 18650 headlamp. Armytek, Skilhunt, ZebraLight.

Sofirn HS21 is another option with a sensor.

Sofirn H35R at medium 450lm gets over 7 hours.

      • I'm having a tough time deciding between the Sofirn H35R and the Wuben H4. Which one would you go for?

[edit] after looking at the comparison more closely, the Wuben H4 has motion gestures and the choice of either spotlight/floodlight modes. H35R has an edge in battery life, as far as I can tell.

they are pretty different. obviously yes the big 18650 battery is the reason to buy Sofirn H35R.
fyi I had worries before buying H35R too, that it would feel heavy, and uncomfortable. but that was not the case at all.
it's well designed, the part where it touches your head is slightly curved on the ends, and there is foam padding there, so it feels very secure and you don't feel the weight at all.

my friend has the well reviewed but low cost Blukar headlamp which also has motion trigger on and off. but in their experience it was quite annoying. if you leave the motion on, you can walk past an object and it thinks it's your hand and will turn itself off. after it happened a few times they just turned the motion setting off and use the button press since then.

          • @skibidigrimacmoggr67: Thank you, that all makes sense. I like the idea of the 3000mAh battery so I went with the Sofirn H35R.

It's currently $28.79 on Amazon so it ended up being cheaper than the Wuben H4, nice.

            • @deadpoet: yes I got it for around that much as well. $27.99 or something. seems to be regular sale price now, sometimes with coupon.

I posted it once at that price because the price of the only previous post on ozb was higher.

why would you want a white head band? Will get dirty the first time you use it

    • +1

That's why it's IP68, so you can shower with it

    • +1

because it's easy to see in the dark. 💁‍♀️

alternatively fluorescent green/yellow which would also get dirty easily.

What are the chances that the Wuben brand owner was Trying to write his name - Ruben, but as he has rhotacism (ironic to put an R in the name) he decided not to struggle?
