  I hadn't heard of the HE-1s … but for 60k (turns out this is USD$60k), they better flagellate me and perform some sort of open heart surgery or brain aneurysm repair.

  Comparisons to the he1 are absolutely ridiculous and just make me want to stay away from this model.

    They have a crossfeed feature in their DSP settings that's tuned to sound like the HE-1, which is arguably the best sounding headphone on the planet, and an electrostatic one with proper bass, making it something of a double unicorn.

    Ignore anyone who is saying anything more than that, but also respect that the HE-1 is a carefully tuned machine that Sennheiser have been using as a reference point in their own work, so it's nice to see that come to fruition more and more in their new lineup.

    For this price range and for wireless headphones, this would be at the top of the list. Try them out if JB ever put up a demo unit.
