  • Not bad

    • nice !! if you want a cheap solution to windows hello this works.

  • I've had this a couple of years now. Works a treat.

Ohh that's good. The windows hello works? Yeah I was thinking of getting the Logitech brio ultra hd but it's 250 dollars. Can't imagine I would be streaming in 4k for a work meeting anyway

      • Yep, it's excellent for Windows Hello. Had zero issues.

  • Works on switch 2?

But why is there a video of an orange extension cable

    Too bad its white

Is the orange power extension cable included? I feel you can ask Amazon chat for credit over that.

  • If you don't need IR, this UGREEN one for $51 could be better.

    • +3

It’s not really comparable. The Lenovo is a Windows Hello webcam (faceID style unlocking) and the UGREEN isn’t.

  • OOS

    • It's oos temporarily but seems you can still buy it.

Guessing once it's in stock they'll process the payment at this price.

If it takes too long you can always cancel it d before they send it

      • how I see no option to buy

    • +2

You can buy it direct from Lenovo.

“Ships free in 2 business days”

  • Anyone have recommendations on a fingerprint reader which is Windows Hello capable?

  • +2

I reckon this HP 620 FHD webcam looks just as good for $39, very similar specs.

    • Windows Hello compatible
    • 4MP Sensor
    • 1080p@30fps video
    • Dual microphone
    • Similar weight, 181g vs 190g
    • Built in USB A cable (USB 3.0, probably no benefit)

    Benefits of the Lenovo 510

    • Privacy shutter (vs a privacy cap)
    • Removable USB-C cable (USB 2.0)

There is a bad review for clarity for the HP, but without using either, I can’t comment.

    • +1

I got that from OW for $19 a few weeks ago. Nothing wrong with clarity.
Didn't even bother to download the PolyLens software. It just plug and play.

      • Great deal for $19. Would’ve been nice at $19 just for the Windows Hello feature alone, but I’ve paid $39 anyway.

Would this work on a Google TV?

    • -1

why would you need a webcam on googletv

      • -1

To have video calls? Why else do you need a webcam?

        • -1

what apps can u launch on google tv for video call waht?

  • Real ones remember getting this for free with Lenovo rewards lol

it’s a decent webcam, and windows hello works well. The physical privacy shutter is a nice touch too.

Worth noting that it has a pretty wide field of view, could be a con to some but I’ve had no complaints.

    • was there a deal posting for that?

      • It was a while ago, but signing up for Lenovo rewards gave us all $100 in credit to spend in the store. Deal
There was even a cc leak in one of the apology emails, which led to an entertaining chain of emails, to say the least.
