Loud yes, but suction is very good, I have no idea what those reviews are talking about and I suspect they might not have much experience in sucking.
I am a builder and we probably own about 12 vacuums, many of which are rubbish and that we rarely use anymore.
We have expensive H Class Vacs and then some M class that are perfect for most of our requirements but they are large and cumbersome and I want something I can keep in my ute for emergencies, I’ve tried quite a few, there is a custom supplier in Sydney that make vacuums for the cleaning industry and I have a few of their vacs but again they are still too large.
I’ve tried many of the cordless options available from the major tool brands and I am not content with any of them.
I thought I’d try this for $100 and size wise and suction wise it seems to be good but I need to road test it on site and see how it holds up. I also think using any plastic bag on hand as the dust bag is pretty cool. I will really be testing this out because I’ll connect it to a sander or grinder and see how long before it clogs.
I’m also waiting for a bootleg 18v/power cord hybrid from
China to arrive that uses Makita batteries or mains power. I found some favourable reviews from the Caucuses and for $80 I’m hopeful it fills this niche requirement of mine which is basically a portable wet and dry vac/dust extractor.

I think people realise it's usefulness is limited. Might as well wipe wet spills with a cloth or mop and be done, instead of lugging this big thing out, plugging it in, and then having to clean the container hose too!

Reviews saying this thing is super loud and under power, lol one guy said you could suck more dirt with a straw, maybe why this discount so much? Anyone got this and can comment on the power please?
