Was looking for some straight component cables for my Superstation One that's (hopefully) soon to be here.

Found these, as I didn't want something generic and they seem to be a very good price with the "retail" at $139.

Can't say I'd ever justify or consider $139 for component cables, but considering the generic options on Amazon, ebay, etc aren't much less I figured they'd be worth it.

Can also be repurposed for composite if you have a use for it, or even just stereo audio.

Have similar audiophile cables for my sub and phono box - they are very rigid and not too flexible.

It should be compatible as an audio cable as well. Just ignore one connection.
At least the 'base cable' type is consistent with what their audio cable uses.

    • Yes! That's correct.

Anyway glad I got them, regret not maybe getting two.

  • Thanks! I need to measure the distance between my amp and subs tonight before purchasing though… Shame the 6m cables aren't on sale.

    • Can't get connectors? Otherwise maybe seeing if what you've got can be moved closer?

I ended up buying a second set for a mate as a gift. He's done similar for me before!

      • Connectors? To daisy chain 2 cables together you mean?

I just measured and the distance is 4m 🥲. They run on an external amp and I could get another 1.3m closer to the receiver but wouldn't know where to put it.

Thanks OP! I've got a SuperStation One on the way too soon (hopefully) but will using these to run a component switcher to a Retrotink 4k in the meantime.

    • Curious as to why you're not running HDMI out? That will be a cleaner image.

I have an OSSC Pro - so if I do use it. I'll use HDMI - but I don't think it's needed.

Component is just for my PS2 and Wii. They run to the component switch and then into the RT4K.

All my HDMI consoles are run in to an 8-port HDMI switch that goes directly to the RT4K.

It was a headache to set up but now I have about 10 consoles running to one HDMI port on the TV.

        • Oh nice!

I have my PS2 setup to the OSSC Pro, my OG Xbox on the HDMI port, Xbox 360 / Xsx connected to my STR-AN1000 and the Superstation will have its own slot in my TV unit too.

Do you know if the Superstation will run warm / need space for airflow?

          • @Matt86: Love that! How are you running HDMI from an OG Xbox?

No clue about the Superstation heat / airflow requirements. I assume it won't get too hot. I've got a few of the Analogue FPGA systems and they never really run hot so I'm hoping it is similar to those.

            • @corgi-runner: I went with the Electron Shepherd - I had a cheap generic one I was given - the $20 ebay ones with the green text and it was definitely usable. But I wanted 5.1 and the cheapest / most convenient way to achieve that is the Electron Shepherd. However it was $90 or so pre tariffs - I kind of wish I got two!

Yeah I suspected it wouldn't, I've got the clear blue one so I want it on display with my Halo Xbox - however I also want to keep it out of the sun haha. Glad to hear that it's not likely to get hot.
