I hope they've finally fixed their PC software for their label printers.
I had a P-Touch 1230PC for literally years that I was happy with. But after not using it for a while, and going to a newer PC, all I got was error messages. I thought it had died of old age. So I bought a brand new P-Touch P700. It produced the same error messages. First guess was that I was using compatible tapes, as the internet suggested. But it was the same with the sample tape supplied. Tried them both on an old Windows 7 PC and they both worked absolutely perfectly. Every Windows 10 or 11 PC I tried them on just produced those error messages. Even brand new builds. Couldn't print. Couldn't download newer firmware for them to see if that fixed it. Got no help from Brother support. They claimed there was no problem.
I even escalated my complaint to Brother Australia's senior management. They just passed it back to the people I was complaining about.
So, hope you don't have the same problems I have. I wasted money on a new one when it turned out the old one still worked, just not on what was by then the current, then next, version of Windows. Despite it being clearly stated on their web site that that it worked on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11. Though the box only said 7 and 8. So I have to keep a working Windows 7 PC, and I'll only be able to print labels using the Brother label printer(s) as long as it keeps working.
The poor support turned me right off Brother, which had previously been my favoured printer company.
