320

Update 31/10:
As it's officially release day, you can now purchase on Target's website, either for C&C or delivery which is $9/free with Onepass

Big W have it for $59 with free metro delivery which may be a better option if you can't pick up from Target or don't have Onepass (Cheers to @trustnoone)

Target site doesn't allow me to add to cart/purchase online (possibly because the release date is actually 31/10/25?) however, the store stock tracker indicates it's available in-stores and I was able to go to my local Target and buy today.

Physical Deluxe Edition
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Physical Deluxe Edition includes the base game, unique digital Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon Armors, Weapons, and Horse Armor Sets, Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine story expansions, access to the Digital Artbook and Soundtrack App, and additional downloadable content: Fighter’s Stronghold, Spell Tomes, Vile Lair, Mehrune’s Razor, The Thieves Den, Wizard’s Tower, The Orrery, and Horse Armor Pack.

  • Cheers

  • Are there any other physical releases with more physical objects, or is this the top? If not, seems strange they aren't trying to cash in more on a fervent fanbase.

$59 for Big W not as good, but mine says free standard delivery for metro incase it works out better for some people? - https://www.bigw.com.au/product/the-elder-scrolls-iv-oblivio…

Has the stuttering been fixed yet?

    • w-w-what stuttering?

    • +2

The stuttering was part of the original game and can never be fixed unless they rebuild the entire thing again lol

  • So pissed I paid $80 for it on PSN…when it was on sale!

  • +5

Still requires internet download to be able to play the physical edition. Complete waste of time unfortunately.

      Welcome to modern day gaming.

    • +4

I can understand why, being a single-player story game from 20 years ago.

      …wait

      • -5

Yep, but there’s nothing you can do about it. Completely writing off a game as a “complete waste of time” because of a mandatory install download is an individual choice, but whinging about it on the internet isn’t going to change anything.

        • +5

Spreads awareness, galvanises others in their choices, changes the discourse.. Or wait no, that's stupid. Learned helplessness is clearly the correct and logical choice here

          • @robinbanks: Changes the discourse 😂 Yeah, right. Keep fighting the fight.

            • @aja12: Why do you write so many comments if you think what you write makes no difference? The discourse is just the amalgamation of many voices. You're the one telling people it's pointless to 'whine on the internet', when in reality you seem to do a lot of that

I didn't call the game a waste of time. I called this physical release a waste of time.

And why are bothering to whinge about my post? Whinging about it on the internet isn't going to change anything.

          • @fatpizza:

I didn't call the game a waste of time. I called this physical release a waste of time.

Things you can do with the “waste of time” physical version that you can’t with the digital:

            • Sell it
            • Trade it in
            • Lend it to a friend/family member
            • Play it under any number of PSN accounts
            • Have it in your collection on display

Plus this is cheaper than the digital version ever has been.

            Waste of time 👍

@aja12: Good luck selling it if the servers ever go offline. I'm sure it'll still look amazing on your shelf though!
Physical media should be about preserving these games long term.
I find it quite sad that some people ok with this type of release. Shows how apathetic the world has become.
But if you're happy about it then good for you.

Thanks for the information. I assumed it would be ready to play.

Can’t think of a valid reason why it’s not, given it’s been out for a while, so it’s a shame physical games are moving in this direction.

Thanks for the heads up. Cancelled my click and collect order. You saved me a trip.

thanks got jbhifi to price match.

  • Is this supposed to be a limited run or something? Will they likely sell out of copies quickly?
