  They tend to offer this everywhere nowadays, hoping to be able to sell you expensive hearing devices. We even get free hearing tests over the radio here, which say you should come in "if you did not hear the last tones" (which are outside the frequency range of an FM transmission, so no one heard them).

  A proper hearing test takes longer than 5 minutes. This feels like the same spam as "free valuation of your house".

    Come on… its free, why do people have to complain, even when its free?

    It only takes 5 minutes, because its a preliminary test. Very simple. If you fail that test, then you will be invited to one of their full tests at their specialist clinic.

    But this test is a very simple, no obligation check up.

    Come into the pharmacy, get a free blood pressure test while you are here from our friendly attractive pharmacy assistants!

      If this is a preliminary test and it is free tomorrow, what is the usual price for a preliminary test?

      Is the "full test" (if required) free too?

      Fair enough. alphaomega is right in that you have been pretty open and honest. Forgive the paranoia; here in WA we were first bombarded with adds about erectile dysfunction, and now by adds for hearing tests. ….I wonder what this says about the Perth demographic.
