hmm a bit high for return? known defect?
if the used is $75 i will happily bite one mouse

      • Or did they buy it just before the 4 was released and returned it because of that?

      • I returned mine — each to their own, but I really didn’t like this mouse. Be warned: it’s quite heavy compared to other options, and the weight sits awkwardly toward the back. It seems best suited for a palm grip, but I use a claw/fingertip grip and found it uncomfortable. I ended up going with a lighter alternative.

        • Must be a claw/fingertip grip thing, I'm using a 3s now and use a 3 for business at work and don't find these issues.

          Horses for courses I guess.

    Standard sale.

  • Worth upgrading from triathlon m720?

    • Definitely

    • +3

I actually really like the Triathlon - the MX Master 3 is less portable. However it is a nicer mouse overall - it's kind of a more "ergonomic" feel however.

We use a lot of the M720s at work because it's a good compromise on ergonomics and what people are used to.

Go to your local office works Or Hardly and see if they'll let you have feel of one would be my advice.

I actually own and daily drive a MX Master 3, I have used the M720s and I prefer the mx.

      M720 advantages:
      - Tilt wheel.
      - Replaceable AA battery that lasts forever.

      MX Master 3S advantages:
      - Side scroll wheel.
      - Larger size offers better palm support.
      - Higher polling rate.
      - Newer receiver type (Bolt).

I stuck with the M720 as the tilt wheel trumped the other factors for me, otherwise it was easy to see why people like the Master.

      • Didn't even realise I could tilt horizontally…. Thanks

        • Me neither! I have had the M720 mouse for years haha. Thanks @Jabba the Hutt

          • @hamza23: Kinda thought everyone knew (as it'd been such a longstanding standard feature of any mid/high-end mouse) so it's a bit of an eye opener to realise that's probably far from the case. Could explain why Logitech were confident about omitting the tilt function from the Master - maybe they had telemetry showing not many used it.

On the other hand, I was oblivious for ages to the M720's somewhat hidden thumb button. Probably had it more than a year before I discovered it.

The tilt buttons on the scroll wheel can also be remapped just like the other macro buttons which can be a plus over the MX depending on your use (I've heard you can't remap the scroll wheel that replaces the tilt on the MX but I can't confirm)

    • Wondering this too, my main gripe with the triathlon is when scrolling up my index finger seems to catch or at least rub against the sharp cutout for the wheel and the middle button thingy. Sounds weird but its definitely a thing. My hands are fairly large XL gloves just fit so overall I'd prefer a slightly larger mouse as well.

Upvoted. Best ergonomic mouse I've ever used, hands down.

Get the mx master 4. I opened a westpac choice to get the 50$ cashback

    • Can you share on how to do this

  • Really considering buying this for when my current Master 3S dies.. Such a fantastic office mouse, however bit on the heavier side for gaming.

    • isn't the polling rate too slow for gaming?

      • yes, noticeably so if you're using a monitor higher than the 125Hz polling rate of the mouse.

    • The keychron m6 has similar form factor and has infinite scroll too at ~80g. Its a little on the plasticky side and the thumb scroll is a bit tight but mouse overall nice enough for the price.

  • I am personally waiting for MX Master 4S for sub $199.

WTF it's a mouse. I hate amazon's selective regional shipping. I'm 1 hour from the gold coast, not an hour from alice springs damn it.

    • Could you send it to a parcel locker to pickup closer to the GC?

      • I don't drive otherwise I would. But i'll have it delivered to family and get them to send it.

  • I’m not too loaded to get this. Any aliexpress equivalent or recommendations? For a mac mini m4
