Was looking to grab a deal and found this on the official site.

Multiple retailer are offering similar price( i.e. JB, Harvey). Previously the lowest price I found is $550.

This supports bluetooth and network. Quite heavy for a portable speaker, but the sound quality is good. It also need a solid base for the passive base to work properly at the bottom.

  Probably not worth it over the likely Harmon Kardon Go + Play 3 price ($249 or less), despite it's lesser Bluetooth codec range.

    Go + Play is just a BT speaker. It doesn't have built-in WiFi streaming.

      Correct, but high data throughput only takes you so far if the speaker implementation is rubbish. Plus the JBL has no battery.

          @danchoi: My bad, confusing it with the 200, which also lacks slightly with the woofer size. Still feel like you're paying for early adoption.
