Purchase Any Demonstrator Model, Get $1,000 - $2,000 Gift Card @ Participating Kia Dealers

80

For a limited time, Kia is offering gift cards valued up to $2,000 with the purchase of any demonstrator model sold during November 2025.

If you need a ute and can look past the front-end, there are A LOT of Tasman demos, and I've seen prople in the Tasman Facebook group claiming they've got an X-Pro for as low as $64k, about $10k off - Kia's that desperate to move these.

The Kia Picanto is also a great deal. That's about a ~5% bonus on the base model.

As an aside, I attended the Sydney EV Show on Friday.
Of all the vehicles there, Kia had the worst paint jobs. Of 3 Kia vehicles on display, all had bad orange peel paint on at least 3 panels. Particularly evident on the top of doors. Just something to look at if in the market for a Kia.

    • Interesting, I've heard that Kia's paint is some of the best amongst mass manufacture brands.

They do have separate production lines for their EVs and non-EVs in Korea though, and the new K4 isn't even made in Korea.

Nah it chips easily on the stinger, is better than Honda paint, but pales in comparison to the Germans like VW/Audi or BMW.

The German stuff is so thick it’s hard to screw up correcting it in my experience.

        • How about Skoda?

          • @BestTechAdvisor: No personal experience, Skoda is under the VW Group and their QC is better than VW. I would expect it to be just as good, unless they're cheaper for a reason by cutting their paint quality.

      • No chance. As well Mazda, very thin paint. They do some nice colours (M… Mazda Soul Red).

The "premium" macaques have thicker paint (some nice colour too). My Lexus and Porsche have many tiny rocks bouncing off the bonnet and the clear coat is good as well (very hard). Cant say the same about the Honda and Mazda.

They need to up that gift card amount to 10K if they want to get rid of any Kia Tasmans.

      Kia Tasmans.

Are these the ones with two cylinder heads?

      • Nah, their sound system is a little slow though

    Prices ?

    • Demos don't have set prices

      • So, this is similar to when the government gives first-home loan grants; so house prices go up?

        • No, because it's Kia providing an incentive for Kia demos, not a segment-wide, demand-side, artificial increase in market competition.

          • @BestTechAdvisor: Are you saying salespeople still give a better discount on the demo? Knowing that the head office is issuing a gift card? :)

go and ask yourself. Changes every model and location.

  • Looking for a Carnival GT Line HEV - Demo all listed WAY above retail. I've got new one on order for $76k; with extras. Demo's seem to be around $85k + . Even looking at Diesel; they're way above 'new' retail pricing.
Not sure how much negotiation is in them, but new starts at a much lower price (downside being wait times).
2nd hand market for 2020+ Carnivals isn't significantly cheaper either.

    • How did you get $76k on a new? Tried Kia's build tool, comes to about $82k for a HEV GT-Line

      • Spoke to the dealer, they agreed to lowering the price and throwing in some accessories. Though it's been 'in production' still, since August. So if a good demo/in stock came up, I'd consider it, now that we have baby #4.
Can't find a demo HEV for <$82k unfortunately. I always think demos are cheaper, as they're generally stepped in/out of frequently, and driven a little rough on short trips. If new is comparable or cheaper (unless you really need it), new would be a no brainer!

I've been keeping tabs on stock and prices. I agree. Demos are sometimes priced higher than new :(

Kia lost the plot with pricing their cars unfortunately.

They went from absolute budget king to premium pricing with changing not much at all.

Chinese cars are about to become the new Kia…

    • They've definitely gone up in price, but they're still the best value except for KGM, Mahindra, and the Chinese brands.

  • all to expensive now.
It’s funny if you convert the uk and us price we are being well ripped off

    • For Kia specifically or cars in general?

If Kia specifically, Kia's reputation is horrible in the US. A lot of their cars are made in North America where the standards are lower, hence they didn't bother to put in immobilisers for a while, hence KiA bOyZ.

    • Kia Stonic in UK start at GBP22k v $26k in Australia not $44K like the current $2.01 to 1 GBP.

      @Far Cough

UK Kia Sportage GT-Line Petrol Auto is £35,085.00 drive away = $70,534.53 Australian.

AU Kia Sportage GT-Line Petrol Auto is VIC $59,831.07 on the road.

The UK price is 15% higher for the Sportage, as an example.

The Sorento Hybrid AWD as another example, is consistently twenty grand cheaper in AU vs the UK.

UK drive away prices for the three AWD trim levels :
      £43,685 = $87,815.59 AUD
      £47,885 = $96,258.43 AUD
      £52,385 = $105,304.33 AUD

AU on the road prices for the three AWD trim levels :
      VIC $67,656.49
      VIC $72,793.55
      VIC $80,462.67

      I wouldn’t

If you understand the car manufacturing process, who owns the patents, build techniques, etc, then you wouldn't.

I've been driving an EV6 and the Niro EV. The EV6 is a bloody beautiful car that goes like a bat out of hell. Though it's pretty amazing they start at $73k.
