With the exception of like mullvad etcI was in no way advocating for Surfshark (which is owned by Nord 💩). My point is when selecting a VPN in general I’d be suspicious of any provider who constantly offers huge cashback.
Mullvad and Proton are the only 2 that can be trusted.

@askbargain: Very true, but if your getting a Cashback VPN where your purchases are tracked, privacy isn't your number one concern , they do the job for basic VPN.
I had a lot of issues with Surfshark and VPNing to Japan. On Android and on iOS. After the cashback term expired, switched to NordVPN and have had zero issues. I know that they are the same company, but Nord works a lot better than Surfshark for my use case. That was almost 3 years ago, so they may have fixed those issues.
