These are the normal $7.25 footlongs, so unless you get the free coke zero your saving is all of 25c.

    • +1

Get the free Coke Zero then?

    • +9

if they are true "foot" long, then that is a bonus.

      • Subway foot long, now in a new extended length of 12" !?

    • +2

The old $7.25 footlongs were 11" long. I would expect after the recent media attention that these would now be 12" long. So free Coke Zero and an extra 9% to chew on.

I don't see why they are making a big deal out of this, if it's only 25c

I usually buy Turkey & Ham F/L and it's closer to $10 from memory.

Edit: they even made a TV commercial, to advertise a 25c discount?

  • I suspect this is in response to the whole "not really footlong" stuff. Pity they don't offer it on all their range.

    • +1

How would a slight discount on this range of footlongs be in 'response to' the 'not quite 12" long' media attention?

      • +1

Well to be honest with you, I initially made a joke about taking a ruler / tape measure to make sure it is actually footlong but due to delays in people's posts being updated on OzBargains my post came in after them and it looked like I just repeated what they said, so I had to edit my post and write something else :-)

Anyway the deal is OK but as many have said, nothing special.

Note when you activate your coke zero offer you only get 14hrs to redeeem it, so you may want to choose later instead of now

  • love that pic

  • +1

this deal sucks. You can't even use the crappy free coke zero with the crappy $7 footlong voucher as it is not redeemable with any other offer.

    • Read the $7 page again (or my copied info above), it specifically says you can:

"To celebrate this big deal we also have a special for Subway Eat Fresh® Club members. We’re giving away Coke Zero for Zero with your next Subway Footlong® sub purchase! Click http://www.subway.com.au/eatfreshclub to find out more."

      • well I don't get those crappy flavours so I assumed it was a voucher. Often I get the loyalty card or vouchers (buy one footlong get one six inch free) but you wouldn't be able to use the free coke deal with other vouchers as it says "not redeemable with any other offer".

I refuse to pay subways regular prices without a voucher or special deal. So expensive.

  • +1

Free Coke Zero only available until 17/3/12 (but must be used within 12 hours of activation).

Does anyone know if you can get an ordinary Coke instead?

    • Just say you're allergic to Coke Zero

      • +4

"I prefer my coke without carcinogenic artifical sweetener"

    • A while ago I had a coupon for a "Footlong and a free coke zero". They would not let me substitute it for another Coke product of the same size…however your local subway franchise may be different.

  • +6

The footlong subs at my local store are always $7

    • Same.

I think the deal was for the free coke zero, though I'm not sure why he mentioned the $7 subs.

      • -2

Because they aren't $7 at my local subway, plus if you bothered to click the links it's an advertised special / promo, fairly obvious really.

When did you last but a $7 footlong sub? Which store? All these loose claims that they are already $7 but nothing to back I up

  • +1

Bummer - Tuna always used to be part of that range but it doesn't appear any more.

Think our entry price range are up to about $8.50 last time I checked though.

    • +1

Tuna is cheap, buy a can of tuna at woolworths for $1 when it's on special ;)

  • +1

    always $7

  • What is with the thumbnail copyright infringement thingie.. first time Ive seen that be an issue..

  • At my local store they have put a $7 sticker over the regular pricing, which was $7.25 before this "promo" but even with the sticker hiding the price you can clearly see the price has increased to $7.45.

So it's pretty clear that this promo is pretty much designed to hide another Subway price hike, like the second in three months.

  • I am so disappointed. My local Subway wouldn't let me use 'free coke' voucher on Veggie patty. They said it is only valid with $7 footlong. WHAT???? Are you serious lady?!??!? The advertisement sign next to you clearly states this deal is with any subway footlong and you tell me I can't use it.
