I also see spin and win, I also close the window.

I was confused by what you guys meant. Clicked the link and immediately joined the "close the window" clan.

          That's typical TEMU way… Avoid…

@conant: Clicked the link, spun the wheel, got the apex 300 delivered for free, then I woke up and closed the window.

Clicked the link just so I could be triggered and also close the window.

I can't remember the last time I stayed on a Temu page for more than 4 secs for the very same reason.

    • I missed out on the experience , my add blocker works too well. ;(

  • If you have solar panels how much is involved in install and roughly how much would it cost?

    • There’s heaps of solar install deals/post which u can ask,but this battery package would only become interesting if it is sub $4k.

  • What a rubbish site. Why I'm earth would you try to emulate Temu?

    • Because guess where Bluetti is made.

Pays for itself in as little as 2 years

    I'm genuinely curious…how?

Would love to know this too, seems like marketing mumbo jumbo without an substance, please prove me wrong

    • On that page if you scroll below:

Turn sunshine into serious savings. With up to 4,000W solar input*, the Apex 300 helps you cut down your energy bills fast — paying for itself in just 2 years. After that, the savings are all yours.

      • Requires a SolarX 4K - which is 899 on sale. + Shit loads of solar panels.

      Also on the same page:

      Solar Input 1,200W2, 12-60VDC, 20A2

I dont understand how you can get 60VDC panels. most panels are 38 to 40 volts and you cant do series connection as it will exceed 60V. So all you can do it 38V * 20A max * 2 inputs = 1500Watts approx.

      Seems like marketing BS.

EDIT: Seems like SolarX 4K will convert the voltage to 58V and send to battery directly.

      • Appreciate you taking to the time to try and work this one out.

In my case, I'm still on the $0.48 solar feed-in tarrif, so this set up would just cost me money.

For that target use, seems like one would be better off putting all that money towards a larger capacity, hard wired, home battery.
        ,

        • Absolutely, chinese eve batteries are the way to go.

      • Just go for a Jinko Tiger Neo 510W panel. It is close enough to 80% of 60V, so you can use it even in winter where the cold weather causes the voltage to be higher than normal.

        • No, the power voltage is still 37V. Also 5.5 KWh for $4600 is too much. Better to have custom setup.

  • Looks good! Just AVOID ALLPOWERS - bought a B1000 expansion batter for a R2500 Power station, and despite manuals, allpowers AU and global websites, ALLPOWERS say B1000 expansion batteries DO NOT work with R2500 power stations! Unbeleivable - tjhey emailed me theirwebsite and staff made mistakes yet still advertising! Stick to VTOMAN, VoltX and Bluetti!!!!! AVOID ALLPOWERS AT ALL COSTS!!!!! They admit the LIE on their websites/ebay stores/amazon stores

      Instructions unclear, bought an ALLPOWERS!

AP have a heavily moderated Facebook page… delete posts and neg comments…. take a look at this one before it was deleted…

They REFUSED to replace mine… It RANDOMLY turns off the AC outlets and gives ab E2 (overload) error when there is only 69 watts being drawn. It even gives that error and turns off the Ac WHEN THERE IS NO LOAD!! This can happen 2-5 times a day, or 1 a week - you never know. You cannot rely on the R1500 if it is unattended. Here are some videos I took: Fan setup 5am - https://drive.google.com/.../10TA.../view… Fan Fail 10:39am - https://drive.google.com/.../1iZiYmhVbdzigI4vyDDZ.../view… No load fail 1- https://drive.google.com/.../107CXVhcCx.../view… No load fail 2 - https://drive.google.com/.../1JtE9XgcPFGOTTc3xZCw.../view… - You take a look at the video's

      • Yes truly shocking! Im so disappointed- Allpowers trading as Henison-AU on Amazon (have exactly same address on invoice as Allpowers direct) replaced an R2500 less than 6 months after purchase last year becasue USBC outlets stopped functioning. I bought a B1000 expansion battery MArch 25 - on the basis it expands capacity of R2500 (as per Allpowers AU and USA websites) from Allpowers AU - emailed service@allpowers and support@allpwers and Henison-AU via Amazon Yesterday Henison-AU/Amazon/Allpowers told me B1000 does NOT work with R2500, and they have asked their Alpowers team to update websites/support - yet they still are selling a R2500-B1000 Combo, and offered be a $50 discount. I want a refund for the B1000 as it is virtuallu useless by itself. service@allpowers.com and support@allpowers.com have stopped responding to my emails. I just wish I had tested after I bought B1000, but becasue I saw multiple youtube reviews of R2500 and B1000 working together, and also owning multiple VTOMAN and VoltX power stations (cycling them to keep batteries in good health). I would have done an Amex chargeback - i may still do this if it is possible as well as contact ACCC. I actually sent all email asking why they produce an Expansion Battery which does NOT work with their power stations - what a joke! Naturally they havent responded

doesn't make sense, build your own at this scale, can get 16x320ah 3.2v lifepo cells for $1400 landed, that's 16kWh of battery, leaves you $2k for an all in one inverter charge controller and a bms and you're $1k cheaper.

    • Have you built one? Can you connect it to your mains power?

    • You still need to pay an electrician else home insurance is void. Thats still a lot cheaper than buying this ready product.

    • You can save even more money by getting the cells for free by obtaining used disposable vapes. You have to put in the work to disassemble but that's also free! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy-wFixuRVU

      • I have done my small share of spot velding 18650 batteries. You are always in the mode of when stuff will catch fire - because the cells are old, or not balancing properly or getting hot, you caused a hole when welding but did not notice it etc and they are all from different batch, companies and manufactured years. Not worth the risk. Buying LifePO4 batteries are a LOT safer and peace of mind and you can get anywhere from 3000 to 8000 recharge cycles.

    • 50kWh system here for $5k installed.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/931507

cheaper than what you quote minus the work.

      • How tf is this so cheap? What's the fire risk like?

        • some kind of govinment benefit involved. but even still I think it's very good value for inverter + installation included.

also imo people in comments not getting the point when saying 5kw inverter isn't enough. as OP of that post said, the capacity is so big it's designed to last you a long time, will never drain to empty in a day. so basically 5kw solar charging is enough to top it up 10%~20% charge per day, and then you roughly use the same amount in a day. and since the battery % stays within 30%~90% over the months, it's much less stress on the batteries inside, good for battery health it will last a long time compared to draining a small battery from 100% to 0% every day, and solar charging to 100% everyday.

          What's the fire risk like?

well let's just say way less than welding your own Lifepo4 batteries together and having no bms/overload/overvoltage protection (solar batteries and power stations have all this).

      • Was about to say the same thing where U can install the 50kw battery and this is only 1/10 the same…they really need to rethink the price strategy

Can it charge an ev off grid?

    • I saw a video of a guy, with cybertruck and he installed like 10kW of batteries in the back of the tray. no solar panels just batteries.

he calls it range extender, that he charges from the wall plug. didn't make any sense to me, so with that huge amount of weight from the batteries, isn't the EV losing range? and then he has to stop the car, plug the battery and wait for it to charge up the amount he lost.

some people just do stuff because it's fun and they want to I guess. seemed like 0 gain and money spent to me though.

  • I have this Apex 300, and the advantage is that it is all in one, self-contained and ready to go. The expansion battery lets you add additional capacity without needing to have electrical knowledge and expertise.

If you have the expertise, then DIY will save you money.

If you don't have expertise and want something that works, then this solution is good. It is not as cheap as a DIY solution, but at least you know it works.

The other advantage is that this will take input from a 10A wall outlet and give you a 15A output. So if you ever wanted to run 15A appliances/tools, but didn't want to pay an electrician to install a 15A wall outlet, then this will let you do that!

    • The expansion battery lets you add additional capacity without needing to have electrical knowledge and expertise.

not sure about the expansion in this deal, but I like the fact you can buy the cheaper Bluetti expansion on it's own, and use it as a 12V DC battery, like a giant Kings DC power pack. it's got much bigger capacity than the Kings still not cheap enough though.
